You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

TV that just flat out lies to you. Here's what happened;

So here I am cooking dinner, my son watching Disney XD in the next room (I know it's slop but he's 11 months old so it's not like he's gonna remember any of it). An ad break plays like it always does on Disney channels, constant. The ad bumper voice actor said "and now back to the show, on Disney XD" then about a minute of more ads play, or it plays the ending sequence of a show, then the beginning of the next show, and finally more ads. I don't remember it being this bad as a kid, but maybe I tuned them out being the little fucker I was.

Now it's not like I was hammering to watch the next episode of whatever shit they were gonna play, nor was my son even invested much into the show. But it still grinds my gears

The new kemono.party (Patreon frontend) is already behind CloudFlare "Durr please dox yourself enable JavaScript and cookies". You just know the webmasters feeding this monopoly are the same cattle that line up to buy Nintendo games or to see Disney movies. Just completely mindless.

Última edición:
I fucking hate people that yell up or down the stairs, or down the hall for something. If you want to talk to me, walk your fat ass over and say hello, don't fucking scream my name down the stairs like a lunatic.

Needless self censorship is getting beyond ridiculous. I just saw a Facebook marketplace add that censored out the words "breast pump" as if it was something rude. What are we coming to?

Everything nowadays feels edited mainly for tiktok users.

Movies, television, advertisement. Even the better video games are indie products meant for horny teens.

“There’s no need to fear bees/spiders/snakes/whatever, they’re actually completely harmless if you don’t provoke them!”

Yeah but why the fuck would I trust an animal that stupid to understand the difference between an intentional provocation and my leg just swinging by them a little too quickly? The fear is that I’ll mean no harm and they’ll attack because they perceive a threat for some reason that neither of us understands

Oh fuck off, it’s not a director’s cut. It’s just the same boring movie with shots of people walking down hallways slower. Anyone who is hyped for this should be ashamed. I’d rather watch the director’s cut of Johnny Mnemonic.

William B. Davis isn’t even in it. Instead, clear the runway for...Amanda Peet.

Remember when David Milch was treated like a complete lush and a joke because he wouldn’t give his actors finished scripts on time? That used to be a scandal. Now every summer blockbuster starts shooting with no script. We’ll figure out the third act in post.:suffering:

Recipe websites. Specifically, the “print recipe” function.

Look, I’ve embraced tech my entire life but I just want a paper copy of the recipe in case the power goes out, or you delete your website, or worse, you revamp and the recipe links change from say, Roast Beef and Garlic to No Bake Cheesecake (side eye glare to Martha Stewart). WHY can’t you write the damn thing out so its one page or close? I’m not retarded, you don’t have to completely step by step describe how to dice carrots in the actual recipe. Nope, its three fucking pages of drivel long, so I have to copy/paste to a note/word document and trim the fucking thing down manually to save some ink and paper.

This is like every online assessment application that claims to have a "print version" of the test in case of students taking tests late, or for backup when the tech fucks up.
Something that should take up one page, front and back, takes four and a "fuck you" eighth of a page due to gigantic margins, gigantic titles, generous space for students to write their names, fancy borders on questions, but really tiny print for the actual question and numbers. I don't know who designs these things. They claim they "listen to teachers" and I believe them. They obviously do because how else would you design something that perfectly makes their life that much more miserable at the copy machine?

Slow people. If you're going to take a whole 2 minutes to close the lid on your food to whatever, move away from the counter. Stop being so inconsiderate and holding up others just because you're useless.

When you're contacting an agent from a service and they won't e-mail you. They want you to call them instead. I'm frustrated a little because, I asked my ISP if I could pause my service in response to an e-mail where they answered another question I had about billing.

And they'll do this where they won't respond so it forces me to call them. I'm tired of the pickiness in general of people who are like this and I've been dealing with it similarly when it comes to contacting people in companies.
