You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

Boomers who feel the need to catch up with acquaintances smack dead in the middle of a supermarket aisle as I'm walking down it, and traffic jamming other people too. Get the fuck out of the way, you oblivious geriatric fucks.

The highlighting system.

I have been assured multiple times - including by Null himself - that it's purely algorithm-based. The longer I'm on this site, the more it seems like a case of "Don't believe your lying eyes," because the amount of favoritism it shows is insane.

It really doesn't make me feel any less unsettled/annoyed due to two reasons: I'm almost positive that he's AI'd in some way, and that he looks like a woman-battering creep. How YouTube, Google really, allows stuff like this is getting borderline paranoia-inducing. At a "Get the fuck away from me" level, not a "Hi, I need the
police" level, but it feels patronising and personally invasive.

When news stories expect me to be sympathetic to struggling families and then I see this image. So, this was an image used on an article that talks about how Americans (or 'Americans' judging from the looks of these people) are struggling to make ends meet on groceries.

And my mind doesn't register at all about what the article is going on. Because let's break down this image. What the fuck is going on in here? Why are there so many bowls on the table? What the hell is all of that shit in the background? Is this a potential hoarder's home? Dude, all I see is just bad financial decision making in the works that tells me instead that maybe these people kinda deserve their struggle because the struggle might not just be the system - it could be them.

You need to straighten out some of those other problems first before your food situation, I think.

I spent a bunch of the past couple days tearing up wet carpet. It hurts all over to move between sitting and standing, or even slightly kneel or lean over.

Summer officially wears out its welcome after July 15th. It's blistering hot, humid enough to give you swamp crotch just going outside for 10 seconds, and there's barely anything to look forward to.

Agreed. Fuck the beach, because that's just asking for more heat and the sand is hot to walk or stand on. Summer is the most overrated season of the year.

TT: Stupid fucking company policies. Okay so, I've been talking to my ISP and they won't simply just disconnect me from service for two months and re-activate me when I return. Their policy is that, if a customer is to stop being serviced longer than 2 weeks, then they have to collect the equipment.

And they explained that if I were to come back, I'd have to pay them $50 for installation and then $50 (plus rental so 40 and then the 10) just to return. That's $100 for 2 months of no activity and I say fuck that bullshit. Who the fuck came up with that policy? Sounds like a fucking trap to keep you locked into a service you just simply want some damn time away from!

Because I'm not going to just spend weeks away not using the internet while I'm paying for it, that just defeats the purpose. Why couldn't you just simply disconnect me on the last day of the month that I paid for, then re-activate in 2 months? It's not like I'm going to sell off the fucking modem or anything, I know it's your property! So what fucking gives?

And my apartment complex, can only support so few ISPs and they're one of them. I don't have a lot of options so I'm just stuck with these guys and they have this policy? What the fuck?!
