You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

I hate it when my watch is practically swinging loose on one notch, and then the next smaller notch it's so tight my hand caint breef!

Make the notches slightly closer together ffs

QR code menus. They're slower, less social, cost more for the restaurant, need all your details and just are a plain annoyance. What the fuck is wrong with just going up to a counter and telling a human what you want?
to somewhat add onto this, it's also annoying when restaurants don't have pictures of the food on their menus. i think a fair middle ground would be having regular printed menus with some type of QR code or link to see pictures of each item. a description of the food only goes so far, i want to see what will actually be brought out to me.

Every child is autistic now.

I'm not using hyperbole either. I don't think a single person I've kept in touch with from school hasn't had an autistic kid.

It's not the fact that they are autistic that grinds my gears, but wondering what the fuck is causing it.
My ultrascientific theory is that most kids are considered autistic because their lazy parents shove a screen in front of their face as soon as possible. So they become spastic retards because YouTube is now their parent. Even worse is that parents think having a tablet raise their kids is a good thing because of all the learning their muddlebrained mediocrity of a kid theoretically watches. We all know they just watch SpongeBob or whatever the fuck. We all know how vital a tablet was for Albert Einstein when he grew up, so if little Ayedenne looks at a screen nonstop she will be a turbogenius and terraform Mars by age 15.

I remember growing up, back when I had to walk ten miles uphill in the snow both ways, I was only allowed one hour of TV per day and no video games until the weekends.

I pretty much did nothing but watch TV and play video games my whole life. I feel like I was fucking weird until middle school, when it became socially unacceptable to act that way and I realized I needed to not act like a fucking sped.

So like on one hand I think the screen time does have something to do with it, but I think the way it's just become acceptable and even encouraged in some ways is the way bigger issue.

Things like this remind me back to my childhood, getting annoyed at my mother limiting the amount of time I spent on the computer/TV. Knowing what I know now about kids growing up on the screen, I'm so glad she did. It's sad that so many parents now days can't put their foot down and curb this shit.

When I start needing my phone to accurately 0lace an order at a restaurant is when I go columbine

Sure, it's a good thing to limit screen time. The problem is when parents just expect you to something else and not helping in any shape or form. Oh yes, it's so fun to go out and have no one to play with.

Ironically Gordon Ramsay would always complain in Kitchen Nightmares when he saw pictures on menus

yeah but if gordon ramsay screams at a cook for making a shitty meal it gets recorded and televised for him to profit off of, if i scream at a cook i’ll be escorted out by police

I'd argue it's got less to do with the amount of screentime, and more to do with the quality of the media they're watching during that screentime.

Think about what kids are watching nowadays as compared to twenty years ago. It's no longer PBS Kids, or just plain old Cartoon Network. It's Cocomelon, and Mr. Beast videos. The former of which is specifically designed to be as addicting as possible to infants, and toddlers, and the latter who has a sexpest troon as part of the main cast.

It's one thing to for a kid to be sitting in front of screen all day watching shit that's either education, or at the very least not harmful. It's a whole 'nother story when they're watching shit that's actually (and in some cases like Cocomelon, intentionally) bad for them.

I hate the y'all thing so much. It doesn't make it gender inclusive or southern it makes you sound like a hipster.
That's because it's usually White socjus genderblobs trying to take/reclaim chud language and/or be down with niggers of color. But "ya'll" especially pisses me off. That's a big tipoff for some upper middle class sheltered White retard. Same tumblrista origin as "sorry sweaty"

Cute little zoom zoom chirps that we can view the menu by scanning the code on the little plastic stand on our table. We're a little drunk and it's late. My husband is looking for his reading glasses. I tell her I don't have a QR scanner and ask if she can tell us what's good or popular at this place. She doesn't seem to have a clue. Just fucking replace them all with kiosks already. What's the point. She's adorable but why the fuck are we even going to give her a 10% tip when I know it'll be assumed that we give her 25%?
It's what you get for using a dishwasher.

The most wasteful, pointless, useless home appliance. Washing your dishes by hand takes no time whatsoever, you don't need that stupid machine.
When I had one I basically used it for storage. As a single woman what am I doing waiting for enough dishes to pile up that it would make sense to run the thing? Even now, in a household that cooks most days, we still use mostly the same dozen items that I will end up washing by hand anyway because I need to use it.
Also, it's my peaceful time. "Babe, could you-?"
"Sorry, soap on my hands!"
"Mooooom can you-?"
"Don't make me dry my hands for something you can do yourself."

It actually is very fun to go out and play by yourself, assuming you aren't an autist addicted to screens with no imagination who can't keep themselves occupied.

Oh fuck that reminded me that the shitty QR code menu ASKED FOR A TIP! I do not live in a tipping country, we don't tip waiters here unless you're someplace very fancy. I am sure as fuck not going to tip for a fucking website that makes my experience worse.

How fucking time consuming is it for you to rinse and dry your hands off?
Dude, try caring for some kids and a spouse sometime. It's constant unnecessary tedious things lined up one after the other if you don't figure out tricks and rules to set boundaries and set them up to learn to take care of the little things themselves. I am not dropping everything I'm doing and taking my gloves on and off every 15 seconds just to reinforce total braindead dependency that carries into adulthood and turns into bullshit like zoomers. If someone is capable of putting on their own shoes, the bitch done fucked up if she just drops what she's doing to go do it for them. I'm not getting what they want out of the cupboard for them if they're perfectly able to scoot the stepstool or a chair over to get it themself while I'm busy doing chores to take care of them. Having been a kid who would have friends over and cook simple things for them after school while other kids my age didn't know how to hold a knife or turn on a stove, I can tell you that seeing kids getting worse and worse as the years go by is motivation to pass on competency.

Good fucking Lord, that sentiment about going through a little process to stop and restart what I'm doing would increase exponentially if it involved making my towels soggy and murdering the skin on my hands. I'd turn into one of those trashy bitches who just screams and cusses at her own family every time she's addressed. Well okay, no I wouldn't, but you get my point.
