People are so rude IRL nowadays. I try to be polite, I try to be empathetic and I try to understand others, even strangers, but it is becoming increasingly difficult over time slowly but surely.
It’s the social media era in action. Everyone is used to instant gratification via algorithms that are catered entirely to them. So anything that doesn’t fit within their social media algorithm now pisses them off. Everything is now treated as a personal affront.
I've been slopping more than usual lately because of being busy at work.

I went to a Wendy's, an A&W, and a Starbucks last week and none of them got my order right the first time. The broccoli haired zoomer retard at Starbucks actually got my order wrong twice.
My biggest gear grinder continues to be the freefall in customer service quality. Everything is done incorrectly, the staff are rude, and these niggers want you to give them a 25% tip afterwards if you don’t want them to spit in your food next time.
Why in America, when a team wins or loses, people start acting like animals?
They think it gives them permission to do so.

why do sports fans like to cause chaos for their team?
They're usually drunk by the end of the game, are probably a younger bunch of fans (not always), and, depending on the context, the result can trigger an emotional reaction.

Since alcohol inhibits rational thinking and emotional control, these factors, along with the groupthink and belief they won't get in trouble due to the size of the group, lead to chaos.

Thread tax - Retail stores and websites. In particular, REI.

(If you're not from the US, REI is an outdoor sports goods retailer.)

REI has chosen the path of keeping a thin in-store inventory, believing that people would be totally cool with ordering and waiting a few days to pick the product up.

Uh, no, REI. If I'm subjected to ordering something, I'll skip your marked-up prices and have it shipped directly to me. Your "store" is supposed to store a variety of goods for purchase that day.

Believing a "membership" will create stickiness and loyalty is also a joke.

I see a lot of Joan Crawford fan pages with hate comments regarding Joan Crawford's looks or about Mommie Dearest. Honestly, I've never seen so much vitriol for an actress like Joan has. What has she done to anybody in her life to deserve that?

Oh boy, you're not going to like me then, because I feel the opposite way. I don't think she was innocent and I think there's some truth to it.

Doing any help for older people, especially relatives. It's never met with thankfulness, but slavery. If you ever make the mistake of helping with anything technical, you are now enslaved to always fix anything that has happened to it. Did you once touch their TV? Two years later you have to fix whatever internet issue the TV has because "it only did that after you touched it". And god forbid if you don't remember their password.
We've really gotten into it with our neighbors. We helped them drop their cable and set up Roku. I had already done this with my parents but didn't realize how sharp and tech-savvy my parents were in comparison to their peers.
Anyway to repay us they took us to a restaurant which is 45 minutes away and I really don't like the food. Every bite has some weird unexpected texture or flavor combination. I keep begging my husband to not do them any favors because they're going to make us go to that place again. It's like a Seinfeld episode where somehow doing the reasonable thing by being honest simply isn't on the table.

You know what grinds my gears? People who barely lived in the 90s and hold it up like some holy grail. The 90s fucking blew.

You know what most of your entertainment came from? TV. TV sucked ass. Do you like commercials? I sure as fuck don't.

What about video games? Very cool. Remember how the controllers sucked so badly Sony had to make a special new controller because theirs gave people hand-cramps? Do you remember how Nintendo never bothered? Remember playing Goldeneye and feeling like you were fucking gimped? No? You're retarded. If yes, you were gimped. By Nintendo being retarded.

The food? Even sloppier than today.

Movies? Idk, let me consult my Taco Bell souvenir cups to see what was playing.

Oh and the Internet. My God, the fucking Internet.

It sucked ass. If you had it, it seemed like a miracle. It was for certain things. Most of the time? It was still difficult to navigate and everyone talked like proto Redditors.

So fuck the 90s.

Nah man. I was old enough to grow up in the entire 90s and I liked it. Gonna have to disagree on that one. It got shitty by 2001 after 9/11.

I think alot of people grift the 90s for all the good that was created/popularized in that era. Yeah it sucked but it is what got us to where we are now, why you can compare the two decades and know we are better off. That means we moved in the right direction with technology, although maybe now we are moving too fast. Moving too fast is also a reason people say it's better, because stuff was slow and you had time to process things more. Now information is thrown at you like snowballs and you can't tell what's true anymore. The 90's shitheads most of the time have trouble now with AI, scams, and rugpulls. They are probably worried that it will just get worse, because it most likely is going to for them at least.

Honestly I think every era is horrible and great for its own reasons, just like the one we are in now.

As simple as the 90s was, technology-wise and everything, I miss that simplicity. Hell, I miss using the TV Guide channel that existed to see what was on television. Things are so complicated now. There's nothing wrong with simple things, really.

Yeah, there were things that sucked about the 90s, but there were fun things too. I know sarcasm and cynicalness was also a big 90s thing, but nah, man. I'm good. I like to see some kind of optimism in things from the past.

There's one thing I'm very grateful for. I'm glad I was a teenager in the 90s instead of being a teenager in this day and age. Damn.

Pedestrian crossings with no lights.
When people waving me across fucking pedestrian crossings then get the shits if I wave them on.
Nigga I seen you coming thats why I'm standing back until you go past I got 4 muscle jock dogs here we're not on your fucking timetable.
Inversely when you see pedestrians not even fucking break stride & just walk on across. Like you seen me. I'm 2 fucking ton with a long stopping distance. There's no one behind me. Just wait the 2 seconds till I go past.
50/50 it's this everytime

This World Cup bullshit. Been tired of it, never cared of it. It's just a bunch of foreign squatters getting hyped up over one of the most monotonous sports ever made. A sport by the way, which can have games end at 0-0.

I don't give a shit of your country making it, I don't give a shit of your country losing, I don't give a shit of it at all.

There's two different soccer themed LEGO sets at Costco. Not even fun sets where a kid could play-pretend at soccer. They were "art" sets that were for a particular player.
Imagine being the dumb fucker that would buy those. Sports fan, Lego dork, the type of tasteless nerd who would display that in their home. How are there even one hundred people like that, enough to buy out the stock of that crap at my one lousy Costco, let alone the how-many-thousands ready to be purchased anywhere?
When I look around at Costco there's about a 5:1 freak to normal person ratio, but even then I can't understand how there's a market for this crap.

The build quality of anything you buy nowadays is so shit that it breaks if you look at it the wrong way. Doesn't seem to matter how well you take care of an item, it will just spontaneously break one day and then you're fucked. My phone? Never once dropped it, never got it wet or anything, still began to self-destruct and failed to charge for no reason. My current audio interface? Inexplicably becomes a garbled and distorted mess when I try to record guitars when it was working fine yesterday. Cables of any sort? They fail so often that I just expect that they will not work when I plug them in.

You pay too much for an item and you get no fucking quality in return. The most reliable tech I have is pre-2015. Why are my amps from the 1980s giving me less trouble than a modern amp? No excuse for this shit. I blame the Chinese.

Last week I overheard my pooner coworker and liberal karen coworker discussing how they believe felons are the true victims of crimes. Yes, they actually believe that. That we should feel bad for felons. Think Helen Lovejoy but instead of children it's "Would someone PLEASE think of the felons!" They both live very sheltered lives too. I did try to discuss this with the karen coworker by asking if such a viewpoint is minimizing the suffering of crime victims. She didn't like hearing that. I pressed a little more and suggested that treating felons like victims is only enabling them. She got pissed and asked me to stop talking to her. We did eventually make up, begrudgingly on my part, but I felt like I had to say something.

And yes their pity for felons pissed me off.
