Truly, the Hollywood trend of "reboot it, but add gay niggers" will just not die. That they're going to drag poor X-files into their BS is a bummer. I hope it gets cancelled after one season.

The article says she's enthusiastic about getting involved, but there's two qualifiers of "it's good" and "the right time" then MAYBE I'll show up. It sounds like she might actually be having a bit of reservations on if it will succeed but has to pretend to be into it.

I think as a kid you enjoy the show for the meta narrative but as an adult you appreciate the monster-of-the-week stories because you know that they had no actual vision for the meta story and were throwing things at the wall.

Started watching the series a while ago. I am now in S3 and to my surprise this is pretty good. The individual episodes have been fun so far and the overarching plot is also nice. Though is getting a bit on the nose with the little gray men.

It gets worse, a lot worse imo. I used to watch the series when it originally aired, and I enjoyed it, but as the seasons went on, it just became very, very tedious, imo.

yeah I like most of the monster of the weeks but the continuity stuff ends up a major drag where everybody mumbles at each other for an hour and nothing really happens

They've been threatening a reboot for awhile. The original show was created at just the right time. How aliens, conspiracies, and other shit were dealt with back in the day was totally different then it is now.
This guy wrote both Black Panther movies and if you look at his filmography, it's what you'd expect. Although he wrote Creed 1 which was a decent flick. I dunno it could go either way.
Bad scenario: Aliens, ghosts, and especially conspiracies are thought of as "super ultra right winger" propoganda now, at least in Hollywood. I feel like the show will just be everything is fake and these dumb white people fell for it all. Credits. Oh, and there will be several lines about how "acksually" black people invented a lot of stuff but never got credit.
Good scenario: Scully shows up as a Rocky Balboa figure to show the new recruits around. We get a Mulder cameo every so often. The show revisits some old cases, new cases are pretty good.

The first last couple seasons or the second last couple seasons?
There are good episodes in every season, but the show gives the viewer a few off-ramps where you can stop watching and feel fairly satisfied. Or stop watching and feel very disappointed, like when you find out Mulder's sister is FUCKING DEAD.

that effort he put into literally NEVER blinking in T2 is the amount of effort he puts into New Yorking
at first me and the lads were like "lol t-1000 can't hold his nyc" then we realized he was doing the REAL shit of "I'm holding back my power levels but you get my nigger up and YOUZE GUYZ" and he NYCs the FWUAK out under times of stress
that was some real shit even real NYCers I've known were impressed with once they really got what he was doing
