I am going to rhetorically ask Will the same thing I always asked of QAnon fanatics back in the day. If you genuinely believe this, why aren't you acting like you believe it? Like, in the QAnon example: you believe that there's a massive pedophile ring running the country in the shadows, kidnapping tens of thousands of children every year, and your response is to... post about it online and nothing else?
Likewise, Will supposedly thinks scores of random nonwhites are being abducted in broad daylight in his hometown, and his reaction is to... post about it on Bluesky, without even providing pictures. Why isn't he trying to identify the supposed victims? Why isn't he reporting the kidnappings to the local police? Why aren't the faces of the victims all over Bluesky, with coordinated efforts to identify them and locate their loved ones? Why haven't they set up some accessible central registry of kidnapping incidents so that distraught families can visit and try to help with identification? Why are none of these brave warriors doing anything except following ICE around and hornily blowing whistles so that the victims can get hearing damage as well as being kidnapped?
The answer, of course, is that Will doesn't truly believe what he's writing. Deep down he knows that the people being "abducted" are illegal immigrants being deported, and deep down he knows that he's just having fun and passing the time in a way that gives him excitement and a sense of purpose. But the deeper he goes into the LARP the better he feels, so he's going to play it up as much as he can.
