Will Smith as a 'rapper" in the 1990s worked for the time and place he was in
back in the '90s, for a little bit there, Will Smith was genuinely regarded as one of the coolest men in the world
In retrospect, it's clear he was force-memed as a normie-friendly 90s Cool Black Guy. The Banks, Winslow, and Huxtable families were presented as black culture, just like Will & Grace were presented as "just like us" gays, until they could push open ghetto culture and degenerate sexuality (before uniting the two in an unholy ghetto-gay singularity).

But Will Smith didn't have to chase Current Year fame. Most millennials and gen-Xers have/had positive memories of Fresh Prince, Bad Boys, Independence Day, and Men in Black. And even younger zoomers who can't remember the 90s still like that last period of upbeat American optimism.

He could've enjoyed his hundreds of millions of dollars while being remembered as the Regular Cool Funny Black Guy, but instead he had to chase relevance, take himself too seriously, embarrass himself at awards shows, let the world see his family chaos, and now try to rebrand as Aging Cringe Rapper. Sad.

Literally the only things will smith could sing that wouldn't get him laughed out of the room is covers of wow wow and vivid memories turn to fantasies

Eh you know he'd still fuck it up.

Have people started to refer to him as Jayden Smith's father yet instead of the reverse.
No, but only because Jayden's star faded even faster than his dad's after his pivot to becoming a Twitter renaissance man didn't pan out.
Willow is probably the best of the bunch because she put out one shit meme song then disappeared off the face of the earth.
He should tour with Skee-Lo and the surviving member of Kriss Kross. Just imagine: 3 titans of family-friendly early 90's novelty hip-hop, united on a single bill. A man can dream *sigh*
Also get whichever one of Milli Vanilli didn't kill himself on the bill. Or the one that did, that would be just as entertaining to watch on stage.
He just bite off more than he can chew, den he chews it 🥀❤️‍🩹✌️
Pulls the pin on a grenade, den he threw'd it. 💯💯💯

He's never been a particularly talented rapper,
seriously this
there's a reason Freddy worked the Fat Boys and Will Smith had to make his bootleg Fred out of a Stretch Armstrong and some GI Joe vehicle parts

Will Smith was, for some ungodly reason, their top guy, the man they spent the most money on boosting. For awhile, it sort of kind of worked, in the sense that he gained a ton of followers, because every site you logged into, the first thing the site asked was "HEY WOULD YOU LIKE TO FOLLOW WILL SMITH?" But his engagement remained consistently shit. He had a total audience bigger than some countries, yet even DSP was pulling in better engagement numbers. And no matter how much money marketing threw at the problem, that remained consistent across every platform.
Also, everyone would be gay or a fucking tranny, which is funny, because I distinctly remember that Will and Jada were the first two celebs to flirt with transing out their kids, way back when, if you'd told a leftist that "gay marriage and atheism are leading us down the path to the normalization of troonery!", you'd be laughed out of the room. It's maybe a chicken-or-egg situation: do corpos love Will Smith because he's always at the vanguard of shitlib social engineering? Or is Will Smith a shitlib social engineer, because he's beloved by corpos? Either way, there's definitely something deeply unwholesome about him, and it's not just the cuckery or the gimmick rap.
I think he actually boosted himself through his production company. He was diverse, well-liked, and uncontroversial, which made him brand friendly, and a welcome shot of stardom to social media that was getting heat for being lawless.

Will strikes me as somebody who's affable, but has triggers on specific things. He's lost his temper a few times, but generally seems to avoid confrontation or facing up to negativity. The reason for the astroturfing is likely more Jada, who's progressive, black, female and ambiguously gay, so the legacy media pretends to have no clue why everyone finds her weird and off-putting. Apparently it was her who gave them all psychedelics, which combined with the pressure of nepotism may have lead to Jayden's drug use. There was certainly a point where they were both rather obsessed by showing off their perfect progressive showbiz family that was clearly anything but normal.

Never really bought into the Will Smith is gay thing until i watched that "Pretty Girls" video.

These are what he introduces as "Pretty Girls". While everyone's got their own type, fact of the matter is that looks like this are probably very niche, not a lot of appeal for the average man.

The dancers are conventionally attractive, but i find it amusing how he has to play it the safe horny way, drapping them up in those sorta see-through gowns and fluffy boots. Very odd design choice for a guy who claims to love "pretty girls".

The whole thing is hilarious, this is the video equivalent of asking your deeply closeted friend if he likes someone.

No idea how that clip above got embedded, here's the real clip:

This isn't aimed at men. It's aimed at women, the message is "gurl you're pretty no matter what, your style is quirky and cool, you do you babe".

It's really hard to believe now, but back in the '90s, for a little bit there, Will Smith was genuinely regarded as one of the coolest men in the world.

Especially because of Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and Independence Day. Man, Will, just go back to working with DJ Jazzy Jeff already.

Will Smith's problem is that he went from being a relatively laid back, charming guy who didn't take himself too seriously to an uptight award-chaser who wants the entire world to worship both him and his family for their talent. All of which was directly sprung from him by the way.

People are now laughing at him when they aren't supposed to be, and he can't handle it.

This reminds me of the time Howard Stern called Will out for being pretentious all the way back in the early 2000s. It turns out he was right.

He was White America’s Cool Black Friend in the 90s. It has been over 25 years since.

Yep, just generic girl power pop rap. Same shit Selena Gomez or Taylor Swift makes. This song just proves Will is one of the softest niggas in the game.
He's never been a particularly talented rapper,
This is correct. Let’s not forget that he completely ripped off a much more talented rapper, Rakim. Will actually confirmed as such on a stream with Rakim:
