MMOs aren't even the cultural force they used to be. The guild was absolutely cringe but at a time when you had something like 32 million people playing WoW with commericals during prime-time you could not dispute there was an audience who would understand the show and there was nothing main-stream filling that gap.

now MMOs are back to niche. You probably have some nostaglia bait potential, but Overwatch (on its way out), Fortnite, and Minecraft are the "gaming for normies".
