Why isn’t Chinese culture spreading? - Ching ling ding dong

With Chinese dominating the world financially why aren’t they using their influence to dominate the world culturally? You see tons of shit made in China but they’re never Chinese oriented. Chinese media can occasionally slip through the cracks but it’s mostly American entertainment with Chinese characteristics. Why not go for the throat and make the world Chinese oriented like how Americans did roughly a century ago?
