Salmon is definitely one of those decisive foods that a good portion of people just can't stand. No matter how you cook it even if it's the best prepared dish in the world if you don't like salmon you're just not going to like it. I've never tasted anything I'd consider metallic and I don't know what taste people don't like about it but I'm not going to pretend to have some sort of master pallet. Eh maybe it's like cilantro and it literally taste different depending on the person or maybe people just don't like it and I shouldn't really care cause its just some inane personal preference.
I like salmon because it's dope, if you don't whatever man.

You know what, I'll compromise and say I just don't get it. I love seafood but salmon will always be in a weird ass limbo for me.
I get the impression you haven't eaten enough salmon to know what it tastes like.

A lot of people hate salmon, but they hate it for being fatty and oily tasting.

Factory farmed salmon tastes absolutely disgusting and I would never eat it again. Wild caught ones are a completely different thing, it's not even comparable.

Maybe that's it.

Could I roll again for another nigger, only seems fair.

If I have to eat something more than 5 times to know what it tastes like, it probably tastes like shit.
Btw I've eaten salmon more than 5 times. Had it as sashimi, sushi, grilled, smoked, jerky, and each and every single time I hated it.

as a kid i liked fish a lot but i absolutely hated salmon. i didnt learn to appreciate the subtle savory aroma of salmon until i was grown up
so in essence, gtfo underageb&
I'm sorry, it's just not good seafood.
Edit: maybe make it not taste like garbo and I'll eat it again

It's like the one fish with actual flavor, whitefish is generally garbage
Every other fish you're relying on the sauce to carry the dish, salmon can be fine on its own

good fish is like steak i am sorry and mean no offense but your position on this is that of a subhuman

I can't speak to the salmon you're eating... but eating salmon you've caught yourself is some of the best fish to consume.

This is true, but it is also pretty much true for anything. Any fish you catch, clean, filet and cook over a bonfire while standing in the pouring rain, will taste like absolute heaven, as you eat it in your tent while ravenously hungry. Can recommend.

I like salmon but the pre-frozen farmed salmon you can get is not as good and I would agree tastes a bit metallic. Wild salmon is superior, both fresh and smoked.

I've had a lot of salmon, good and bad, and none of it has ever tasted metallic. That's odd. You either might have some weird gene or allergy, or you're getting salmon with a lot of heavy metals in it or something.
Either way something isn't right there.

I just had salmon today for lunch (baked, with butter, rosemary, thyme, and lemon, if anyone's curious) and there was that very slight metallic tang, but personally speaking I like it. Might just be because my area's tapwater is hard water and also has a metallic taste, though.

Maybe I'm a pussy-ass faggot, but wild salmon tastes too fishy for me.

I'm picky with my smoked salmon, too. Most of them taste really weird - like the smoked taste is super strong AND it's fishy.

ETA: I'm also a retard, because the salmon I like is brined, not smoked. That explains why I like gravlax, too. Gravlax is good stuff - not as salty as lox, and it has other seasonings in it. Just delightful, but the place I got it from stopped carrying it because I was the only person buying it.
