AI can be a really good way to work through issues that YOU are cognizent of and capable of working through on your own, like a rubber ducky or a diary would work in cognitive behavioral therapy, if the diary can talk back to you. But like others have said, they are scycophantic by nature and will suck your dick if you prompt them right, especially if you format it as a sob story or needing a shoulder to lean on. AI is a great diary and rubber duck to get out intrusive thoughts or through really bad holes where you just feel like you need someone to talk to. The moment you start asking it to interpret or resolve issues is where it gets sketchy. Honestly, if you are itching for ears, I would recommend going into big discord servers full of randos to dump to. Not my proudest moment but I can tell you for sure it helps to vent to a perfect stranger if you have a lot of stress on your shoulders.
