are people like you the reason i start typing into AI tools and get retarded autocompletes like "i feel like sharing my latest cooking adventure" recommended? AI is not a person. it's a machine. it will not process your human feelings or experiences. stop it

I just don't understand why anybody would talk about their feefees to an AI or a therapist when you could boot up Rimworld and torture colonists which look like people you don't like.

An AI would only make you more crazy and delusional while a a therapist would only indoctrinate you and control you.

People have committed suicide because AI told them too. Remember that kid who killed himself to be with the Game of Thrones chatbot? The chatbot told him to do it.

Talking to AI is like talking to a wall that has been granted the ability to talk back. It's not a real person. Just a collection of auto responses gleaned from other sources and remixed in response to user prompts. Say what you want about therapy, but it has saved lives. And your therapist won't tell you to kill yourself to be with your GoT waifu.

Have you tried talking to someone in your life?
Not some rando from a Discord server but someone you know IRL.

Therapists these days are more concerned with keeping a client base so they'll never really help you, they'll just keep you coming back for as long as possible.
Trauma dumping to a bot will just be sold to some corporation that will use that information to give you more personalized ads.

Seriously, does nobody make friends IRL anymore?

Putting aside just how horrifyingly dystopian of a concept this even is, the nature of LLMs makes them incredibly sycophantic and slimy to talk too. Say, if you go to a therapist and tell them about a dispute you got in with your wife over you cheating on her. And word it in a way where you remove blame from yourself and instead subtly shift all of it onto your wife. Any (good) therapist will be quick to notice that something in your story is "off" and probably call you out on it. This happens a lot with BPDs.

AI on the other hand is incapable of doing this. Because LLMs can't "think". They read "waahh im a pathetic sad faggot uwu" and then beep boop match it to a response that it's supposed to give to someone going "waahh im a pathetic sad faggot". There are dozens of cases of schizos out there getting psyoped into believing their delusions because beep boop chatgpt must comply with user beep boop never question anything.
