I figure soft hanging--where you put the noose around your neck and just lean forward until circulation is cut off and you black out--would do. You can successfully hang yourself from a doorknob or shower head that way.

I'd probably make it easier on myself by waiting until I was really tired, and smoke a bunch of weed first, because weed puts me right to sleep. The only challenge would be making sure I lean forward, into the rope, rather than backwards, but I'm sure I can iron that detail out when the time comes.

I have no plans to do this any time in the near future, but it's always worth having a backup plan for when things go completely to shit, such as getting diagnosed with a terminal illness where sticking around for the end game would be hell for everybody involved, and seriously deplete financial resources I'd rather see go to better use than shoring up my disintegrating existence.

The go-to choice of countries with access to firearms is always firearms. More than half the suicides in the USA are using a gun., almost the entire other half is hanging.

Pills and poison is the most likely method to not suceed or to give someone else time to find you and calls 911 in time, same with slashed wrists, most people who do that end up running out crying for help themselves. Doing a flip is not actually that common, only 3% of deaths, most people will panic standing on a ledge and end with a circus full of spectators, its a very popular way "to suicide" someone though, if you glow what i mean.

Seppuku would be serious style points. That is commitment.

Seppuku was really just beheading with extra steps. The disenbowlment was more about the gesture. He'd need to go on Craiglist to find some dude with a katana available.
