I think I said in the random questions thread that The Borb telling Chris they couldn't afford to send him to a proper university was the soft peddle rationalisation they used because they didn't want to tell Chris he was dumb as shit and therefore too dumb to go to university.

Also, I'm pretty sure in [cwc]Kacey Call 7[/cwc], he claimed that he looked into student loans and he was somehow not eligible for it. Of course, I can't see any reason he shouldn't be eligible for student loans, so it's likely that Borb just said that because they knew that Chris simply couldn't function in a proper university. He barely scraped by at PVCC, and, from what I can recall, PVCC is a joke even among Virginia's community college systems, and I'm pretty sure the only reason Chris even got his CADD certificate is because they wanted to get Chris out of there. In fact, you know the Constitution Test you have to pass in seventh or eighth grade in order to graduate from Grade school? I had a classmate who took it three times and he failed each time. They still let him graduate. There's simply no other explanation for Chris gaining a CADD certificate for one project, And yes, I'm counting the 3D Model and drawing of the CWCville mall as two parts of one project, over five years.

It took Chris 5 years to get a two year degree.

Actually, it took six years if you count the year he was expelled from PVCC. And in those six years, he only completed a single project, and that was shit. There is no way he'd have been able to function in the University of Virginia. He'd have almost certainly been expelled at some point, and he'd have to deal with crippling student loan bills. There's no way would pay for 6 years at UVA, even if one didn't have Chris' absolute non-comprehension of the value of money.
