If they're taken away, the state will probably let them have the pets back when the offending conditions have been rectified.

There have been a lot of threads about this topic.
I'll keep it, but broaden the topic to encompass any hypothetical change to the SSDI program and its effect on Chris and his worldview.

I heard somewhere that while existing Social Security payments won't be disrupted, the government is not accepting new applications for SSI while the shutdown is in effect. That means if Chris does anything stupid and loses his tugboat (ie: felony, etc), he won't be able to get it back.

Chris is probably bored with feeding them and laying out newspapers for them. He would bitch about losing them if it gave him the chance to play for sympathy, but I doubt he gives a shit about them now that the novelty of "cute puppies!" has worn off.

Chris has already spelled out in detail what he would use super powers for; he'd punish anyone who dares question his actions, seek revenge on those who he believes have wronged him, and rule his domain according to his own desires, rather than the needs of the people living under his boot.

The Tragedy of Darth Kaka.
He would use the dark side of za power against those who have disobeyed his wishes.
I'm already writing about this in CWC Wars, and I can't wait until I get to episode 3. Chris is in many ways a different version of Anakin. Chris has pushed away those who truly care about him. Padmé in my fan fic will be represented by Megan, and like in Star Wars how Anakin turns away from her, Chris has done the same with Megan. Over the years we've seen the transformation of Darth Kaka, from a little boy named Christopher, to the man in the Tomgirl Form.
