I was once a happy person like you. But I realized that all the good things were gone it was time to move on. I gave up things and had to try out new things even if I hated them. Went from music to art, went from one website to another, even tried a new game.

One thing I didn’t give up on, was figuring out how to make it fun and make others happy.

Also, go 2 the gym.

Declutter, deep clean, and rearrange your living space. Go through all your clothes, pull out ones you don't like anymore to donate to the charity shop, and re-hang the ones you're keeping by color. Dust your electronics and furniture. Put some fresh paint on the walls, or just one accent wall, if you like color. Put some nice music on and lie down for a bit. Write a pointless short story. Pet your dog/cat, or go volunteer at an animal shelter on your lunch break to walk the dogs or feed the cats. Go for a long walk somewhere that has trees. Call a friend you haven't talked to in a while. Do a small chore you've been putting off (hanging a shelf, repotting a plant, sweeping out the garage). These are things that help me feel a bit better when I don't know what else to do and can't fix my whole life immediately. I hope things look up for you soon.

Biggest thing is to have a sense of purpose, a goal, no matter how distant. If you have that, the second biggest thing is to be productive and not waste too much time, which is tough because our society fucking runs on exploiting and monetizing time-wasting right now.

One of the saddest, hardest to deal with facts in life is that most people who are miserable and/or losers in life are those that fail to maintain that balance in a positive manner (and that’s before even getting into any actual problems that people might have that make things even more difficult). This manifests and metastasizes into any number of addictions varying in degrees of seriousness and social acceptability.

People waste too much time watching TV and playing video games, get too wrapped up in politics, eat too much unhealthy food, watch too much porn, abuse any number of substances, the list goes on… The most extreme of which we get to observe on this very site.

We’re all only human and nobody’s perfect, but try your best. Work towards something big, be healthy, go outside, enjoy life, and don’t let the angry retards ensnared in this grand self-created trap bother you too much. If you do all that and keep moving forward I guarantee it’ll (eventually) all start to make sense.

You ever fantasize about what your perfect life would be? I don't mean just in general like "happy" or "have a family." I mean things like "I would eat a BLT for lunch every God damn day." Make a list of little things like that, little achievable things. Start doing them. Use them to help you get through the current minute by minute slog. Yeah, the first 30 minutes of this hour might suck, but 35 minutes in, it'll be time to go read a book on your porch like you always say you're gonna do but never actually do. Those things help you break it up and build you up inside. They aren't the answer, but if you do enough of them consistently, you might find your life has improved just that little bit that it needs for something better to happen.

Something that made my life a bit better was putting my phone in a different room before going to bed. looking up close at a screen right before sleeping made me feel sick, now I have lots of dreams :)

Made it will boost your spirit a little bit and make you scale that wall.

I need advice from autistic kiwis that isn't just kys, but in all honesty life has felt like its a rough patch and I was just wondering what other people do to get through it

  • Read a book
  • Watch reruns of your favorite TV shows and movies
  • Hit a punching bag or smash something you're going to throw out anyway
  • Text with family and friends
  • Write in a journal
