Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Speaking of the Flintstones, who's birth were they celebrating in the Christmas special?
There's a fan theory that the world of the Flintstones is actually a far-future universe where a nuclear war splintered society, the poors staying on the ground and blasted back to the stone age, and the elites rising above the clouds in a futuristic society (and that's where the Jetsons come from.) That's why both worlds have Christmas and a 1960s aesthetic even though they're supposedly really far back and really far forward in time.

So here's a little fun fact I've learned recently.
There's a possibility that the voice actor for Pearl from Steven Universe may possiblity be a MAGA supporter.

If true, then it would mean Freasher Luke won in the long run.

Duckman revival
I hate this. I hate how pop culture has become so stagnant as to not allow anything to just end. Duckman is good, great even, but does not warrant more than it got. There’s no media more influenced by the context in which it was produced than animation, and the modern zeitgeist is to dredge up media, the worst description of being “tragically cut short,” to be paraded about in mockery of itself. We used to lament cynically reviving old media out of fear of unsure new talent.

Not to mention how these showrunners from thirty years ago are going to age out of the industry leaving a massive knowledge vacuum behind.

There's no creativity anymore. I wonder if an animation about Howard the Duck will be made at this point, poking fun at the superhero inanity. Another one, I mean.

I like how they love to mock and make jokes about Charlie Kirk's death to "trigger the chuds". But if someone called Saint Floyd "That coon that got kneeled on." they'd go apeshit nuclear and cry about how you can't make those kinds of jokes. Fake edgy is a billion times worse than just being completely inoffensive.

didn't jason alexander hate duckman because it strained his voice? there's no way they can make a new series without jason alexander.

how dare that person i've never spoken to before and will never speak to have political opinions other than mine. i'm going to get really really racist at this woman and demean her for being a woman because of her life choices now that i can justify it. but i'm nothing like those damn dirty racist misogynist magatards i hate so much.

If any gem was going to be Conservative, it'd be Pearl.
Pearl training Connie into being a useless swordfighter protecting Steven was actually just one long scheme to get her killed before she has to stomach another interracial/interspecies relationship. (It almost worked too when she tried to fight Blue Diamond, but unfortunately she didn't get squished to death)
