Faggots being disingenuous once again. The whole point of Bee Movie is it's supposed to be a satire of bad kids' movies. So of course the bee falls in love with a human woman, because that's how it works in every bad kids' movie. Only it takes the absolute piss out of the concept by taking it to the most ridiculous extreme (putting the love montage against The Monkees' "Sugar" for example).
As a kid, I was able to understand the absurdity of Bee Movie, so I laughed at the montage, and Bee Movie didn’t start a movement that turned every fucking thing in the world into Bee Movie, while having a bunch of Bees on the sex offender registry singing that they’re coming for our kids, and having the Bee Movie creators telling me that their agenda was to indoctrinate kids to be attracted to bees.
i don't care if it's confusing or not but i will say that as a kid i did not give a fuuuuuuuuuuuuck about mordecai or finn's relationship issues in regular show and adventure time. i always turned that shit off if it was one of those episodes and that opinion wouldn't have changed a bit if mordecai and finn were gay. it is easily the most boring shit you could put before a child, save for episodes about the main characters going to school or some shit nobody wants to see that unless school is something like wizard school or ninja school and they do wizard or ninja things. you can at least say that for bee movie, the absurdity of a bee dating a human woman is a joke in itself. you're not meant to take it seriously. it is to laugh at, it is for the sake of entertainment regardless of whether or not it works.

I am not kidding, meme status doesn't excuse the fact that bee movie in its last act can't decide if it is a courtroom drama, an environmental film or a disaster movie ripoff of airport.
Bee movie is a disjointed mess, written by a washed up relic who's glory days where a decade behind him by the time he worked on bee movie, and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

Milton: I think it’s a must to atleast look at all types of art; most cartoonists aren’t looking atother arts, or reality, but spinning everything from the vocabulary formed only by other comics and cartoons. The creators of the old stuff were on deadlines and forced to take shortcuts. A new artist could be basing his own shortcuts on those shortcuts. So you get a cartoon of a cartoon of a cartoon. It’s grounded in falsity.
