TIL there are women in this thread. Wish I could help but I wear cargo shorts exclusively.
I am small potatoes compared to what everyone else here can do but I find it fun and helps me relax and destress.

There is something calming to me about clearing my mind, focusing on pushing through my rep, how it feels in my muscles and counting.

Do guys have this issue? I guess the soy influx has made pant legs super tight and straight cut? How do you deal with out resorting to exclusively wearing trackpants.
Wear mens pants lol, theyve got pockets and the sizing system is less autistic. Also ive never had a problem finding mens pants that arent super tight or straight cut.

Also consider using stretchy jeans or just abusing belts

So, praying the rosary but with testosterone?

I got upset today. Went to do the chest fly machine, and it made my right shoulder hurt before I could even get a chest pump. My shoulders are so weak, it makes me sad. I'm going to have to do shoulders twice a week.

Exercise can be meditative for lots of people, and some forms of spirituality and such have a major physical component to them. The idea being we have mind, spirit, and body that each play off each other and therefore it is unwise to neglect one for the others. See Shoalin monks, yoga, martial arts katas, and Indian wrestling training for examples of the mix of training the soul and the body.
Weights are like that as well, as meditation is about focusing and you need to focus to have great workouts.

Barbell OHP. My shoulders have never felt better. I wish I had known how beneficial OHP was when I was a teenager lifting for sports.

Okay, kind of a general question here… I started lifting more seriously at the beginning of this year, and for my upper body exercises, while I’m in the gym I feel like I’m hitting the limit of what I can do in terms of weight/reps, but I don’t actually feel all that sore the day after. This definitely isn’t the case with squats/deadlifts where I can usually feel it in my legs for at least a day or two. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
I used to think like that years ago but when you are starting/doing a new workout, you WILL feel very sore after working out since it's like a shock to your body and your body screaming at you "What the fuck?"
Pro-tip- Log your lifts, both rep and weight- it will genuinely help you benchmark progress. It's totally ok for some body parts not to get sore, or even less sore the more you do something. So as long as you notice you're lifting more - and you notice body results, you're diamonds.

I've always thought meditation is fucking gay. I prefer to take out my anger on the weights instead of people.
The meditation the West is familiar with is more pop-Yoga/pop-Bhuddist, and those are usually gay. More hardcore uses were samurai meditating on the concept of death in order to not fear it, wrestlers from India doing hundreds of reps of exercises and focusing on total control of their bodies. Someone above mentioned the rosary, and the history behind that is the common practice of prayer beads, where the idea is to deeply focus on prayer for extended periods of time.
Frank Zane was massive into meditation, more of a yoga style, and he wrote a lot about it.

Starting a cut next week.

Eating a whole block of chocolate on Friday as a last supper before I go back to depression meals for the next few months. (:_(

It's getting hard to fit into pants because apparently there are only two body types for white women, anorexic bitches and land whales. If I fit to my waist then there is no hope of me getting them past my ass, if I go for a size to tackle that issue then I'm wearing something 2-3 sizes too big. Do guys have this issue? I guess the soy influx has made pant legs super tight and straight cut? How do you deal with out resorting to exclusively wearing trackpants.
Try to find boot or loose cut jeans if you can. The flexible band jeans are also good in a pinch. Dude jeans have the same issue where if you have big thighs and buns they are cut way too tight. One of the curses of having gains, I don't know how Tom Platz dealt with it.

Tried the Ghost chips ahoy whey and I like it. Went on their website to find other flavors and threw up at their faze clan gamer bro shit. When did supplement companies start grifting to gamers?

So there is this weird little sub culture in esports and it is very hard to describe if you have no knowledge or exposure.

With out revealing my power level too much, I was moderately involved 10ish years ago. When gaming houses and commercialized leagues started becoming the norm, some form of physical activity was made contractually compulsory by their overlords for these goblins so they didn't break their spine sitting at the PC all day. This birthed a mini meathead culture in some of the teams/players and sort of where the athleisure wear merch and gamer sups started being seen.

Prior to that merch was just a tshirt, hoodie or soccer type jersey.

It's really fucking gay but I will say, it did warm my heart a little to see these people start taking their health seriously and getting pumped up to go out and train together as a team. I know some to this day still train and are units despite distancing themselves from esports entirely (thank go,d it's all so cringe) whereas when I met them they were tiny little limp wristed nerds.

ETA Gym session tax: Had a pizza last night, the gluten is really not sitting well with me, it's been a trip of, is this a cramp or am I going to shit myself this rep, fun times.

Noticeable strength increase since last week so, happy with that. :) Not yet ready to move up weights (I've been platued for a while) but I ended my reps pretty comfortably instead of almost failure.

What did you expect to see at a website for a company that makes Chips Ahoy flavored protein powder?
When did supplement companies start grifting to gamers?
When they realized that marketing energy drink powder solely to people who workout is kind of a dumb business decision in a country full of fat retards that play video games all day.

GNC Amp has girl scout cookie flavors and dymatize has fruity pebbles, but I digress.

I'm fucking killing it on my own. Last time I had someone to teach me nutrition, and I had a trainer. I've been doing everything myself this time and damn if I'm not balls to the wall. Feels good man.

The licensed junk food flavors have really taken over. Ryse has Kool-Aid and Smarties flavored preworkout and a JetPuffed marshmallow protein. Optimum Nutrition is holding strong for now. Real niggas just get a big bag of vanilla because it's versatile. Tastes good with milk. Tastes fine with water. Tastes great thrown in a bowl of oatmeal. Can't go throwing a scoop of Cap'n Crunch Oops All Berries flavored protein in my apple cinnamon oatmeal. That's fucking degenerate.

Wait, you don't have more than one? Protein powders are like spices in your spice rack. Sometimes I want cajun pork, other times I want curry chicken. I have regular chocolate to mix with my oats, and a fun flavor for other times.

I mean, you do you, but I like a variety. Wish I could get variety protein powder like the popcorn tins that have 3 different flavors.

For me I find the novelty flavours way too sweet and artificial tasting, I keep it simple, Vannila, Choc, can't go wrong.
