Bananas are the best.

I fucking hated them before last year, but legitimately they made a noticeable difference in my body once I started having one a day. I have not had a muscle cramps in over 12 months.

Fruit is good, just don't substitute every meal for them, but also why would you.

You're not going to put on weight from eating a single apple a day.

Bananas are the shit. I also eat blueberries all the time in cottage cheese and yogurt.

Your body tends to respond to natural sugar differently than highly processed junk sweets and fruits have a shit ton of health benefits too. Just keep it in moderation like everything else.

I might have asked this before (though it certainly is worth asking again in lieu of my current condition), but what exercises do any of you personally recommend to prevent shoulder impingement (I'm particularly interested in exercises essentially involving the bare amount of equipment).

On a similar vein, what exercises do you recommend to fix shoulder winging (an occurring problem for me that I want to solve ASAP).

Here. For overhead press.

Not when you're trying to cut, which is what my post was about. If you're cutting, go with veggies. If you're bulking eat all the fruits you want.
Depends on the fruit, melons are very low in calories, for example, as are apples and oranges. Plus, the fiber helps you stay more satiated.

I go with frozen peas myself. Can't stand most vegetables and I don't like buying things that spoil quickly.

I know there's ways to make fruits and vegetables stay fresh longer but I'm a poor filthy bugman who never learned that shit.

If your health improves in any way with eating fruits, your diet is shit. Sure, moderation is key. But for most people. It's better to eliminate the whole aspect than restricting it and failing hard. We see how well it goes with people controls themselves, when they're surrounded by shit foods. People even get fat of nuts, which is healthy. So people getting an overload of fruits is not unrealistic.

Yeah but nuts are mostly fat, which has more calories than carbs, protein and alcohol. It's the most energy dense macronutrient.

I personally wouldn't advise someone to eat peanutbutter if they're cutting. But fruit has fiber and tends to be low in calories. And the insuline response to glucose is anabolic and helps with recovery.

The only issue, afaik, is that sugar works addicting and fruit is no different. And focussing on protein is still a better idea than focusing on carbs, during a cut, I guess.

But fruit in itself is a good addition of a healthy diet. The majority of athletes probably eat fruit multiple times a week.

If your diet is utterly destroyed by 50 calories of blueberries or a 100 calorie banana daily you need more help than eliminating one of the healthiest food groups around, sorry. Multi Vitamins don't cover as much as you think they do and can have a nasty manufacturing process themselves.

If you want to loose weight eat vegetables in bulk and a shit ton of protein for fullness. High protein and carbs are a recommended diet to cut with lower fat. As you said, nuts and trail mix aren't health food and have a huge amount of calorie density. Be consistent and move as much as you can. Lift heavy.

Edit: Here's another article that goes over the sugar type differences, @Vingle though I wouldn't recommend fruit juice.

Ugh, stalling again at around 5x155 kg on the squat and 5x105 kg on the bench. Seems to be a sort of magic barrier for me that probably requires a personal trainer and heavy focus on diet to get through.
Well, I wanted to try something new, anyway. Time for some hypertrophy, been doing sets of fahve for the Big Three almost exclusively the past months.
The "Starscream" 12 week hypertrophy plan sounds fun. The Big Three are not neglected, there's still a heavy top set so you don't forget what a heavy weight is, and then there's a shitload of volume and supersets. Let's see how that goes...

I don't understand your logic, in the comment you quote. I admit that moderation is key. Seems like a self-own.
I don't take multi vitamins, and if you have a need for them. Your diet is shit.

Not arguing with your quote, other than the suggestion that most people can't handle fruits in any capacity and have no self control, which is an individual case by case issue. I don't disagree with that based on how most people eat but there is no issue with keeping fruit in moderation if you have a hint of self control.

I added the multi vitamins part since people like to use that as an excuse to either starve themselves or eat whatever they want. It doesn't cover a bad diet. Weight loss is calorie in vs calorie out and dense food like nuts and peanut butter are detrimental due to getting a lot in a little volume. There is almost no caloric footprint to fruit compared to that.

Edit: I swapped my routine over to a modified starting strength routine using strict form and the lower volume coupled with more rest and am seeing results immediately. My technique is improved and my back doesn't hurt nearly as bad from heavy squats.

Most of the Western population, where it is such an emphasis on caring for each individual. Are in fact obese or some other form of fat.
Humans aren't the special little snowflakes they like to think they are.

My debate against sugar isn't because it's empty calories, but advanced glycation end products. Which end up in premature ageing of the skin.

You do get them other places too, but it's a good idea to keep the levels down.
So it's not like I disagree on the calorie aspect, it's just I debate about skin health.

Agree on westerners and shitty diets.

Got it about the second part, you didn't mention skin care in your argument before. Do you have any sources?

I don't know if this was brought up in Andy Warski's thread, but what do you guys think of his workout routine? I think he said he has a total gym time of 3 hours, most of which I assume is sparing and endurance training. I can't remember how soon he needed to gain 10 lbs., but do you think he can manage?
