Following up on previous kettlebell autism... would it be unusual to use different weights for different exercises? I'm using a 15 for swings and I feel like I could do a bit more, but for the press it's about all I can handle for extended periods.

I wouldn't think so. For swings, I would do what you can up to the point that your form goes to shit. I did swings once with a ton of weight I thought I could handle and my back was fucked up for 3 days

I will say that wearing a stupid covid mask came in handy for heavy squat day due to my bracing being so hard that blood started spurting out my nose. No mess lol.

Any suggestions for a trap bar? I want to add one to the collection and they are kick ass for farmer carries, tbh that's about all I want to do with it. Maybe mix DLs up here and there but mostly they really are nice for carries.

I alternate barbell deadlift with the trapbar deadlift, also do carries with it but you could do trapbar overhead press as well with it on pins. I only did it a couple of times and went back to ohp with a barbell but it might have some advantage/disadvantage due to change in grip and change of gravity.

The far right is increasingly recruiting via online fitness groups, whose popularity soared during the pandemic, prompting fears that new members are being radicalised to commit acts of violence, new analysis shows.
Researchers have detected a network of online “fascist fitness” chat groups on the messaging app Telegram with a large number directly linked to the neo-Nazi Patriotic Alternative, Britain’s biggest extreme right group.
European and US fight groups are regularly glorified in these groups, including the white supremacist Rise Above Movement (RAM), notorious for having four members arrested in 2018 for inciting and participating in violence against anti-racist protesters.

Among the UK groups to laud RAM is the White Stag Athletic Club (WSAC), whose members post images of swastika flags, and celebrated the acquittal last November of Kyle Rittenhouse, who shot dead two anti-racist protesters in Wisconsin in 2020.
At-home fitness boomed during the pandemic with some digital fitness apps attracting tens of millions of users and online groups proliferating to replace gym closures.
Analysis by anti-fascist organisation Hope Not Hate says the British far right has positioned physical fitness as part of a “wider political struggle” and helped explain how online groups like WSAC could grow even after Covid restrictions have been lifted.
“The danger of these groups lies, firstly, in their emphasis on transforming activists into soldiers that might be motivated to commit acts of violence. And, secondly, in the community they create, where members start to associate sometimes real, positive change in their lives with fascism,” said the organisation’s annual assessment of the extreme right.

I somehow bruised my biceps, but I haven't done any bicep exercises yet this week. I only noticed it after finishing shoulder day when I took a shower. Should I be worried? It doesn't hurt and seems to be around the skin and not deep into the muscle.

It shouldn't be an issue if you don't feel any pain and it just looks like a superficial bruise. Blood flow and bruises can be weird sometimes. Just keep an eye on it.

I normally do 5 exercises for one muscle group. However, I've been thinking about increasing it to 6 exercises for some muscles as they seem to be growing slower than the others. Would that be overworking the muscles? And speaking of overworking my muscles, since I have more time next week I'm going to do my 1 mile run and 400m swim. However, when I did that last year. There was a massive gap between lifting and doing the cardio. This time I plan to run and then swim directly after lifting. Should I reduce my weights or would I be fine?

5 exercises on the same day? - Sounds like you are overtraining, which is why you are not getting growth.
High weight + lower reps = growth.
I'm not massive but I have 18" bicep/triceps and a 4XL chest, all from doing four different exercises, split into two sets of opposing compound movements, done on different days, twice a week each.

IDK your age, obviously, but I have noticed it is very common for young guys to overtrain and then wonder why they aren't getting any growth. Also, doing 100 x 5kg arm curls will do fuck all for you; go do some chin-ups instead.
EDIT: FYI, I weigh 104kg and do chin-ups with a 10kg plate on my dip belt. This is the type of exercise that makes you strong all around.

Última edición:
5 for one muscle group? You shouldn't need more than 1 or 2.

I'd recommend doing cardio before lifting if you're gonna do them on the same day. Works as a good warmup.

I recently bought a trap bar, as I find them much easier on my back and hands than an Olympic bar. My trap deadlift is currently 3 sets of 8 reps, at 160kg.
What kind did you get? I snagged a Rouge because I've had great luck with their stuff and Customer Service, it was not cheap tho.

I started lifting about 6 weeks ago after a 3 year break. Started tracking everything in a phone app instead of trying to remember the previous week

I want to look better naked and feel less depressed. I think it's working 986b58db8154145fc757189e8fbe50e92d0e1d8979ade6b6901c9973e1f93cde_1.jpg

Yeah fucking right an "accident" I hope not only 10 months he got nailed for pain and suffering. There's nothing wrong with DB presses curls etc, guy was alone etc. So either he's a MEGA asshole or they had beef before. Even if the latter, it looks so clearly dirty.

I'm sure jury agrees, look at every machine and back wall plates everywhere. Even if you wanted to add plates to machine in back, you'd take a plate from something near it.

This was pure dirty. I feel safer I lift at home but down side person who wants me to die the most... is there daily.

So I bought some deadlift socks to help prevent the bar from tearing my legs up when I do conventional deadlift and they work...kinda. The wounds I previously had still broke open but were contained by the sock, which didn't go all the way up past the knee. So now I have gashes above my knee. Wearing knee sleeves helps to an extent but the bar gets stuck on them at higher weight.

Maybe I should just stick to sumo.
