Getting fat again, bulks about to end. 194lbs, see you niggas again soon.

I think 10lbs of that is water weight. No way I went from 172 to 195 this quick. Jan 18-May 11 is only like 4 months.
23 lbs in 113 days isn't outlandish, is it? If we're assuming 3500 kcal per lb gained (which also assumes that you gained some muscle mass, too), that's a surplus of about 700 kcal per day, which I reckon is fairly easy to achieve.

Welcome back, nigga.

It's been about a week since I started on my weight loss meds, I've lost about 1kg (conversion on Google says that's like 2.2lbs) in the past week but I probably could have lost more if I kept up my solid pace of lifestyle I had until I got sick last Wednesday. Literally just middle of day out of nowhere sore throat and woke up on Thursday like I'd been hit by a bus.
I'm finally starting to get over the flu or whatever the fuck I had which has had me doing basically nothing exercise wise for the past week. I've still been doing okay with my eating, could be better.
I'm hoping if I wake up tomorrow morning feeling at least 75% better I'll head to the gym but might keep it easy and maybe do lighter weights to see how I do for the first set and take it from there.
I'll be seeing my doctor again in a couple weeks to do another check in for my weight loss meds and I'm going to get a referral to a dietitian to help me out, as I can struggle with balanced meals with my stupid tism eating. That's just dumb shit like I don't really like any bread except white bread, can't stand egg texture unless I eat them scrambled, don't like the texture of avocado and it also kinda tastes like it should be a face cream and not eaten. But even any advice from any of you will be welcome on how to find healthy options that won't repulse me or even if there's a solid method to trying to slowly change, even things like sneaky ways to add stuff that will give nutrients but is masked well with something else, like I can eat a bit of avocado in a sushi or something like that when there's other stuff in it.

Results are now visible enough people are noticing the weight loss even if undisclosed. I have now enough of a grasp on my own hunger I felt I could cut some more (empty) calories. Diet soda remains my Achilles heel, I also am very pleased with how I am increasing my running distance yet feel recovered only a few hours after it, instead of being tired the whole day. I am now thinking of slowly transitioning into intermittent fasting by moving my lunch closer and closer to dinner hour until they eventually become the same meal. I keep resisting the weight loss drug demons.

Only tangentially related to weight loss, but: this is my birthday month, and I wanted a slice of pizza to celebrate. We used to order pizza all the time around here. Usually I'd order a whole pie, eat at least 2, sometimes 3 slices at a sitting, then eat more of it before I went to bed, and finish the rest the next day. Yikes.

So, hubby and I went to a local place and I ordered a plain slice to stay. I don't think I've ordered a single slice of pizza since i was a kid in high school! Thought I wouldn't be able to eat it all at once, but it was really delicious and I enjoyed every bite.

My problem? This one slice of pizza cost *****$3.55*****!!!!!!! We haven't really eaten out since I started on tirzepatide, used to go to the diner after Mass on Sunday pretty regularly, but now I'm scared LOL. Prolly have to take out a loan to get an omelet and toast.

Anyway, I'm following all your journeys with great interest, and cheering you on from afar!

Adult life can catch you up fast and with time being limitted the best health improvement I adopted and can recommend is getting off your ass during lunch break and going for an hour high intensity fast walk/stairs outside if you have an office job.

No more feeling like a tired slump in the afternoon, reduced appetite and it helps with energy overall.

For the first time in my adult life my weight starts with a 1. I've never been extremely fat but I decided a couple months ago that it's time to finally stop being overweight.
It's been quite easy so far. Just eat less and move more.

I've been trying to lose weight so I'm working out a schedule where I walk from my house to a plaza about a mile and a half away and back. So it's roughly 3 miles for the round trip which I can do in about an hour. I'm hoping to drop my weight from 240 pounds to somewhere around 200.

A daily 3-mile walk is a healthy habit and will burn a few hundred kcal in your case but I'd still try and count calories while you're actively trying to lose weight because while trying to lose weight by working out can work, I feel like it more often than not becomes frustrating fairly quickly. Counting calories sounds way more annoying than it really is, too. Get yourself a decent app and a pocket food scale and you're set. Anyway, you got this.

Small update.

Pregnancy has been mostly good up until recently but it seems the placenta may be too far south for a normal birth. We'll see though, ive been told by my dr it can still move and im 26 weeks so there's lots of time for this. For now though, I am high risk. This means no lifting above 10 lbs, no walking longer than 5 mins, and more. Curious to see what my weight will do in the last 14ish weeks but who knows.

Something I am excited about however is we discovered my thyroid was struggling with the pregnancy. Dr has me on a thyroid med, and its had a month now to take effect and has shown improvement in the bloodwork. Im thrilled, and honestly I feel it. Not only has weight gain slowed, but my energy level is better by alot and mood is better as well. This confirms heavily what I mentioned last year ITT about the thyroid, although I already knew it lol but now I have the blood tests and experience to prove it. The thyroid is super important in weight management, energy levels and more. Im hoping my dr keeps me on the thyroid med until well after my pregnancy but we will see if my levels go up postpartum or not. Im on a very low dose (25 micrograms) but even that has made me feel a noticeable energy boost and effected my weight.

Additionally I think the red light probably was helping my thyroid/weight loss, as I feel very comparably as good as I did while consistently using it. I will definitely be utilizing both post partum, not just for weight but also general healing. Good luck all! Baby is doing well and is growing nice and steady (62nd percentile)

Here I was complaining about a 10 lb gain from 189 to 199 over the past 3 months. Sorry bro but if you gained 23 lbs in 4 months that's not a bulk- that's a binge lol. What were you eating everyday anyway?

In hindsight, I really wish I had just maintained. Even though I am technically stronger and probably gained a bit of muscle, I do not feel it was worth having to diet down again. Next time I hit my goal weight I'm maintaining until my metabolism recovers, then cutting even further.

I swear everything from 172->180 was water weight. I think I gained all that back on maintenance. I also for the past month was like "ok whatever fuck it ill figure it out" and just ate whatever i wanted lol. I think I have more water weight past those 8lbs too to lose.

Not sure if I just have a binging issue or if I'm a early-20 y/o male RAPE MACHINE that turns CALORIES into 180LBS ON BENCH FOR REPS. I tend to take things to the extreme anyway in life, I always have people freaking the fuck out at me so it might just actually be a binge, ESPECIALLY this past month

I ended 172 in a deep cut (1.5lbs/wk for like 9 months, but it was sporadic) so I had absolutely no water basically so thats my theory. Hope its right.

Anyway I'm back niggas. I'M READY FOR HOLOCAUST #2

Okay in that case the 172 did sound augmented by glycogen depletion after such a long cut. Say 180 is your true starting weight then, and there are a few extra pounds of bloat now. So perhaps 10-12ish pounds to cut.

If you just came off a 9 month deficit though, I'd consider maintaining for a few months at 185lbs or so. Don't bulk when you hit that, just maintain and recover your metabolism.

Thankfully I rescued myself right on the brink of fat as I'm down to 198 after veering dangerously close to 200. I imagine 12 weeks to fully lose the 10lbs without tanking my metabolism but will probably get impatient and do some dry fast or something to speed it up. Being fat sucks. Hides all the gains.

Down to 71.6kg, or 158lbs in other units. Or around 11st 4lbs. I have lost about a third of my starting weight. Ive lost 10-12 inches on all body measurements, and 4 dress sizes.

My clothes do not fit, I am extolling the virtues of thrift shopping, and making my own too. Nearly cried fitting into a UK 16

Just weighed myself this morning and I'm 194lbs so I do think I was just juiced the fuck up on water/glycogen. Will probably be dropping more lol but I think that shoots up my bodyfat ratio up too unfortunately.

Wait didn't you start at 194 a couple weeks ago? Did you make a typo haha
I have no clue whats going on with my body nigga lol. I weighed myself at 200lbs a week ago somehow and now I'm back down to 194 when I'm on maintenance. I think all my numbers are fucked up lols. I think its just varience of food/stool/urine + waterweight.

You need some Metamucil ™ bruh lmao

I'm down to 196, yesterday was a refeed and damn it felt good. Cutting sucks

I saw a new doctor yesterday, and she was great. Went over my whole history and asked a lot of questions and really listened. I’ve lost 10 pounds since the last time I saw them in February.

I’ve had a couple scary, scary glucose lows at night. My cgm probably saved my life, kind of lows, because my husband heard the alarm. I didn’t.

So we came up with a plan to hopefully treat that, since the Mounjaro alone isn’t enough. My A1C came back at 6.2 - prediabetic!!! My ALT is still too high, but AST is normal. My other labs that had been barely too high for at least a couple years are also in the normal range.

My hard work is absolutely paying off and I feel very confident and hopeful today.
