Yeah but fren, that would mean having integrity. You're right - having real artists use AI as a tool would have cut corners and allowed for decent wages. Imagine going one step further: make beautiful, durable, useful merch designed by small-town artists and produced to order. Something you could pass on. Like i.e a pewter HB or HH chess set. Why? Because we care about resources and art made by real humans. AI is just a tool. That would be cool but, of course, we can't have nice things.

Neo-luddites piss me off so very much. At least the orginal luddites could break some physical machines. NL will do what? Yell at the AI- powered cloud?

Mass-production has made a decent standard of living possible for the normal person. Bah, we are living better then kings were in the 1950s and before that. Because luddite retards lost. With the advent of AI everyone will be able to turn their ideas into i.e animation. Without fucked-up gatekeepers telling them to f....off. Maybe some day maybe s.o (maybe a kiwi) will correct HB/HH by making 95% of all characters straight and filling all the plotholes?
Listen, I'm not the biggest fan of AI art but, couldn't this argument also be used for digital art? I know they're not the same, but people could say that digital art isn't real art because of some of the tools used in there. You can color something in fully with a single tap of the stylus; you can press a button to have line your line work being smooth; hell, there's tweening for animation which is essentially like AI because the computer is doing the in-between frames for the key-frames. Just like digital art programs, AI programs could be used as a tool to make the process of work faster.

You've explained it beautifully. A tool.

I don't believe artists who can actually do things i.e draw will disappear.

I wonder if we kiwis could/should use AI to, I don't know, make a small, fun video about plotholes in HB or HH. With the characters pointing them out themselves. I can't draw but with AI, such ideas can become reality.

Or an anime about my current fav deathfat horrorcow Chantal. Or a Hellaverse x Foodie Beauty crossover? :story:

"They're GAY though, therefore it's askshually queer-affirming and not misogynist at all!" OK, sure Viv. No joke, I think people would actually respect Vivienne a lot more and be more willing to leave her alone if she just owned up to it instead of trying to justify it through a woke, holeir-than-thou lens. "Yeah, I like hot gay guys kissing and fucking, so what? A lot of women do!"
Me and my wife fucking DESPISE what Viz has done with Millie. It's so tone-deaf it borders on hilarious that she talks about female representation, and then when she gets pushback that her Straight Grounded Female Protagonist is a space filler she falls back to making her pregnant like some shitty daytime Mexican soap opera.

Yeah, great job Vivienne. One of your main female characters and her defining characteristics is that she's pregnant.

So according to Viv, Millie is resourceful, excitable, hyperfocued, has strong ties to family, a past of violence, and a sibling rivalry. Wow, I guess Millie is a well-rounded character...

Too bad I can only get this from some twitter thread instead of the actual show. We had an episode that was entirely set at Millie's past home; you could have easily made that a Millie episode. But no, we have to have another plot of Moxxie learning to have more confidence in himself or whatever, and I guess add some Blitzø in there as well.

But this understandable because Viv even admits she likes characters with a lot of angst.

And you can clearly see that in any of her works as those characters get more limelight than others. Take season 2 of Hazbin Hotel; Velvette is part of the main villain group that season but she's way underdeveloped compared to someone like Vox or even Val. She's a sassy black woman with a British accent.

She.is.a.woman. Like.Millie.

I find both more interesting than gay owl and TV guy. Both are bad, yet they also possess a kind, caring side. Like most real people. I'd actually would like Velvette to get a whole background episode and maybe find redemption at some point.Although she is British.

We all know it won't happen. At least not in the official show.

Do you think Millie will have an abortion? Liberals LOVE abortions.

I would start to wish Viv the worst if she did that.

Personally my moneys on a "Youre Not the Father" twist/conflict because fuck grounded depictions of a healthy straight couple, amirite? Its the exact type of fujoshi-tier Ao3 dramaslop Vivienne thinks is synonymous with good writing.

You know, this, as a setting, starts to resemble Steven Universe's in the sense that it becomes more stupid and/or ludicrous the more you think about it. And it kind of is a window to just how "infantlized" and, dont ask me how, "maintream-fied" the idea of Hell has gotten.

(Imitating Critical Drinker's voice)

Now I know what you might say, "Handsome Tard, you priceless worthless fuck, Hell has had many interpretations in art over several centuries, even more if you dont even go with the Christian version. There is nothing wrong with a fictional Hell that works by its own rules"

(done with that)

Urgh, my breath stinks like a brewery, not even a good one, fucking irish hick

Well, you would be right on that end. The problems , in the best way I can put it, are the following
1- Nearly every interpretation of Hell is ultimately tied to the question "What defines evil" or "What is a sin?". The Vizzieverse sticks with extremely safe when not vague answers to that question, which is fine by itself as thats often not essential to the nature of the premise...until you see that IT IS tied to the very nature of the premise. Oops? Charlie wants to redeem sinners to get them out of Hell and into Heaven, thats fine, the problems begin when it comes to necessity of giving an objective answer to what is good and evil, sinful and not sinful, and if sinful, how BADLY? Who gets to make these judgements? Usually the answer is "God" but you see, the big man upstairs has been missing with no explanation (or He might not even exist in this universe). There is no saint peter (wait, actually there is but only a "vizziepop friendly" version) or Anubis with a feather or anything like that. So fine, lets just stick that there is some unseen cosmic force that decides who goes up or down, it clearly cant be christian if Hell is full of faggots, sexual deviants and whatever...while thats portrayed as either a bad thing or not THE reason why they're there.

So what is it? If not faggotry, then why they are there? The answers seem to be, like I said, both vague and safe, so basically "gambling, drinking, murdering, cannibalism" and things that can be universally accepted are evil and doesnt go beyond the realms of safe edgy so you aint seeing nazis, pedophiles and anything that could possibly lead Vizzie getting mean tweets thrown at her (she does a good job at provoking that on her own, thank you very much) and possibly get funding taken away.

2- The show doesnt answer also if there are irredemable sinners, who sins are too great to ever be redeemed and that question doesnt seem like a big deal until you ponder "Are serial killers redemeable? Are pedophiles redemeable? Are serial child molesting murderers redemeable? Are people who misgender trannies on social media redemeable?" big questions that reach far too close into one's personal morality. Questions with answers that will not please everyone, especially in the fanbase, a fanbase that tends to have very...urg, shall we say "questionable" moral compasses at the best of times.

Now, you can argue that the ambiguity is part of the mystery and if we were judging strictly from the pilot, I would agree but Hazbin Hotel just ditched the interesting possibilities and needlessly expands the plot into a by the numbers Hell vs Heaven conflict which COULD have worked had it been properly built up to it instead of introducing Adam and sticking to the tired old formula of angels being self righteous dicks while demons are dicks but they are funny jerks about it so of course you stick with the ones that tells you its ok to wear a dress.

And its funny because this isnt an issue with, say, Spawn, where it mostly just sticks with our lead doing badass things and killing demons (then angels) or Doom where it mostly just sticks with our lead doing badass things and killing demons (and then angels...wait a minute), either way, in most of these, the focus isnt on the sin itself and sometimes not even sinners, but on the demons themselves and they are mostly portrayed as chaotic evil and thus you arent suppose to feel anything but disgust towards their vile existence and then be happy when they are vanquished.

But Hazbin Hotel as a setting has tied itself far too closely to important questions towards the nature of Hell and, consequently, the nature of morality and what defines true evil and true good and believe me, this isnt the creator best to answer these questions in a satisfying manner, this isnt the fanbase built to handle whatever answer that they are given and these arent the times most ideal when it comes to having a strict moral compass, especially one that may lean towards a more traditionalist point of view.

No one likes to be told that what they do is likely earning them a spot in the eternal below so Vizzie will never dare to suggest that anything LGBTQ is the reason many of the characters are there, sticking with, safe and vague answers that dont technically challenge anything, not the writing, the viewer, the setting, the characters or anything really and I really wonder if Vizzie knows she kind of wrote herself into an uncomfortable corner that may or may not cause her to get unironically cancelled by her very "loving" fans after they were met with an opinion of hers they dont agree with. Dont even get me started on Amazon executives likely breathing down her neck for any reason to neck the show if it steps out of line by preaching the "wrong set of morals" (wink wink).

Anyway, thats all I got for today, go away now buy Hyperion.

@The handsome tard

My brother in Christ,

misgendering obnoxious trannies is doing God's work

Yes but the point was that vizzie and the fanbase don’t see it that way and hold misgendering to a criminal standard akin to physically violating someone. So how the fuck can you even begin to define basic standards for morality and sin with views that warped ?

Spoilers, you can’t.

And a lesbian, so she won't even have a male to at least give her something. She's going to be like Vaggie, only worse because she's not dating the main character.

I'm sorry, but this stuff will always come across as weird to me, everything about this from both parties. Animals are not people. Animals are not children. A good part of animal husbandry is recognizing that no, animals aren't people, and while we love them, they're still animals and expectations must reflect that. Having grief that your dog acts like a dog is wild. Treating them like child substitutes is equally wild. Neither are good for the wellbeing of the dog.
Please give Emily's VA the memo.
