Is Vinny being a "Nintendo defender/shill" a meme? I've seen people for years saying how much of a cock sucking whiteknight he is for the company that I can't help but think it's hypersensitive autists exaggerating their projection of his takes and people taking the piss out of him. Maybe with how neutral he is for most things -- rarely going hard on anything -- leads the former types to think he's an apologist. He is a biased fanboy whose easily impressed for sure and does pony up for most of their slop, but unless I missed streams where he worships the very ground they walk on, he's never shyed away from giving them shit for things they've mess up or done poorly.

There's a comment under one of his vods that I think sums it up pretty well. It went something like:

Only mildly related but, in his last tomadachi stream someone in chat told him to make his newest Mii character (a girl with a literal restaurant menu for a face) gay and they would accept her as a new character and he commented on how sad that was and basically told them to fuck off.
Apparently they had a crash out in chat he had to comment on as well. I avoid chat/the community and only watch on YouTube so IDK what the true details are but Vinny sounded so done.
So while he's not TTD he's probably tired of freaks (of any persuasion) being pushy and obnoxious.
Personally I don't give a fuck if he's a heccin wholesomerino woke ally or an alt right le based chud as long as he shuts the fuck up about it for the most part and plays funni Sunday slop and nintendrone nostalgia bait.

The amount of streamers I've watched that seemed chill and then suddenly sperged about their liberal shit unprompted is crazy, and Vinny never has.
Nxyipuff seemed chill until she shouted "NORMALIZE SEX WORKERS!"
Superbutterbuns went from "born a girl, so I'm female" to celebrating Charlie Kirk's assassination and making homosexuality her brand.
ValkyrieAurora / Nerines00 seemed chill until she started outright disparaging men, and moaning about JK Rowling being mean because of not liking men in women's bathrooms.
Clemps seemed chill until he called JK Rowling a "transphobic CUNT!" and bragged about his polyamory.
Vinny on the other hand: nothing.
His fanbase becoming so woke is really weird, though, but I think it's a consequence of his hands-off approach. If you look at his subreddit, he's there but only out of necessity, it seems, to read someone the riot act when they get a bit uppity.
He's not even the focal point of their discussion, usually. They just meme about his unfunny nicknames and draw disgusting fanart of "Melpert" or whatever.
He's probably like most normal people. Doesn't want TTD or anything, but prefers to forget they exist and not be roped into their degeneracy, silently hoping they'll fuck off with their constant attempts to insert their disgusting fetishes into everything.
Maybe it's draining him after all these years. Dude's been streaming for 15 to 20 years, I think. Knowing your paycheck relies on placating these weird fuckers must be a real drag, especially after going through the false allegation bullshit. I call Vinny lazy sometimes, but he's no bad guy and he didn't deserve that. It sticks to you forever and I feel for the guy to now have to contend with a fanbase of sexpests on top of sexual allegations. Must be hell.
