Having a character able to be gay isn't what I'd classify as a "gay game". Those are usually nothing but rainbows and trans flags everywhere and the bare minimum of a game underneath. BG3 was a solid game on its own. The hate for BG3 here was hilariously overblown and made people look exactly like the doofus youtube grifters we make fun of.

It's not terrible, but it's not good either. It's just the average soulless UE5 remake that aims to replace the original as the "superior" version. It does the usual of retconning the lore and changing the game for "modern audiences" by for example adding lots of swears for no reason. Just play the original and don't waste your money.

I heard it's a massive piece of shit tech wise. Unmodded launch Fallout New Vegas levels of crashing and bugs.

It's the usual unoptimized mess as with every UE5 game and so far I haven't seen too many bugs on the streamer's end, but what made me laugh was that Alkimia Interactive named the very high preset in settings as "Alkimia Overdose". Very fitting for people who think they know better than the original devs.

I'm more interested in the fact that two of the achievements state that 100% of players have them. I don't know of any other game like that.
 
I had an idea to make a game like Stardew Valley except you just keep a fire going. Go looking for sticks, chop down trees for logs etc. Then you can roast food over the fire.

As your fire gets hotter you can smelt ore and begin forging better tools, weapons and armor. And eventually go fight off the evil.

Don't Starve had elements of this in its gameplay and I think it is a pretty engaging niche. Reminds me of camping
 
Another games festival, another instance of my wishlist shrinking. I love having 10 games wishlisted, only to see them release/get another trailer, realizing it's complete dogshit and remove them from my wishlist, promptly saving myself $40-60 every time.

I preordered the Dynasty Warriors 3 remake and Planet Zoo 2 (simply due to how few animal-centric games are put out). I really liked jurassic world evo, made by the planet zoo devs, because it had foliage brushes and other QoL additions they'll hopefully bring into PZ2. I just fucking loathe how PZ1 is a architectural tool first, zoo second. You spend 8 hours on an enclosure then drop in an animal and never look back. It's so fucking exhausting.

Oh, and the Star Wars xcom clone turns out to be a chimera squad clone with a set party of characters, so that's off the list too.
