TCPA does allow discovery to be performed in limited circumstances with leave of the court. If Vic wants to argue that he did not have the opportunity for discovery, then he would have to argue that depositions aren't discovery, the discovery he received from the defendants at the start of the case wasn't discovery, why the 4.5 months from the announcement of the case and 2.5 months from the filing of the case weren't properly utilized, and why Beard didn't attempt to file leave of the court for continued discovery. Even if Chupp refused it, it would still show an effort which would be preserved in the record.

In reference to the file size being too big for the TCPA response, in the error report that Beard submitted, it showed that the document was password protected/had security restrictions, not that the file size was too big. Page 6.

It's not true. Watch his appearance on Rekieta. Ty specifically pointed out the escalating costs for such an appeal and the low probability that the supreme court would even take the case. What he will do is comp any work going forward, such as the motion for reconsideration and the hearing on the fees, which was remanded back to Chupp. (If Vic still wanted his representation).

Maybe Ty would work on the appeal for free, but he certainly wouldn't be covering the bill Vic would have to pay the defendants afterwards.

Live action dramas/tv shows does not equal the same as anime, I could point you to their continued failures of live action remakes of animes as proof of that.

You forget Amazon is also a store not just a streaming provider so they do in fact stream more anime than crunchyroll because you can usually rent a title that isn’t available on a streaming service like crunchyroll.

Anime is “foreign originals” and even if you wanna be technical netlfix clearly is still dubbing pretty much all their anime the same way. You didn’t even acknowledge how much anime is being dubbed despite claims nobody cares about it

Though I'm sure a lot of people were turned off by that whole affair. They're already shutting down the app and taking the name off certain projects. I think once Funimation is phased out, we're going to hear a lot less about the two fats and the rest of the ensemble. I think slowly their careers are going to die out.

It's less like they're "twisting" to do it, and more like its just naturally happening as a consequence of multiple industry factors. Not to mention the fact that all of them are aging.
