Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

I don't care what Ty did or did not fuck up. This decision just effectively legalized lying about people to ruin their lives, at least in Texas. What a fucktarded decision. Ty might be Ty but Chupp is still Chupp.

So do we know why this decision took so fucking long now?
Tons of documents longer than 4 years worth of leftist memes. Ty's notary fuck up probably bothered the appeals people more than Soye and Rial's inanity.

Well, shit.
No justice for gay pants man.
The consolation prize is everyone looking on knows Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi lucked out, and are extremely fat.

He's recovering and the entire industry is twisting to discard Funimation and the two fats.

Also, it's almost definite that these idiots will try something again with his new endeavors, which will reset the entire goddamned clock. They're not worth suing anymore, however.

I think I speak for everyone who even remotely cares that this was the worst possible outcome. Not because I really need gay italian man to win but cause the court dismissed it on gay technicalities instead. If Vic was gonna lose, I'd rather they just outright said his evidence didn't support defamation claims instead of going "well they would've but we're not counting them". Like fuck off with this shit. This took you 2 years?

I'd largely checked out of WW, but I can't deny checking this thread almost every Thursday for 2 years. This is terrible.

It's easy to, especially with the document, in retrospect, lay the loss at Ty's feet completely. His moves were never perfect, but summing him up as completely incompetent to me doesn't quite fit.

It was a gargantuan case against multiple defendants using a difficult cause in a climate where the court of public opinion largely goes one way. Ty Beard made mistakes - huge unforgivable ones, but he was what Vic had when he needed to fight. There was nobody else, and I give him his due for even going to war for Vic. A good act doesn't wash out the bad nor does a bad act wash out the good. Ty was integral in the improvement in Vic's life after the accusations even if he ultimately didn't achieve the major outcome.

This is terrible, but it could have been so much worse.

Well, I'm annoyed it took so long for a "no"
What a clown show. If I were Vic, I'd cut my losses, and maybe have some words with Ty, especially if the gfm doesn't cover the costs at present.

My impression of Ty, post trial, is he's more contract / transaction law guy than pounding the halls of justice. Not preserving objections, just wtf...
This is a technical field problem.... You do something wrong once and get away with it. Years later you keep doing it that way and forgot it wasn't the correct way. Many such cases.

Well, the only thing this thread has left to look forward to are arguments regarding MoRon's fees.
Whenever that begins.

Sure, he won the PR and career war in the long run, hopefully.

Losing a big case like this on a technicality is fucking bullshit though, and will give them backwind to claim to have won on merits.

Ron Toye getting out of tortious interference on free speech grounds is fucking clownworld.

welp, the process was funny. many shitty ppl and shitty professionals make this a bottomless source of autism.

I guess if u want to actually take some teaching from this, if u really care about that on the internet instead of just laughing at idiots:
-This stuff takes A LOT OF TIME, as u can see. the best option is not to have insane harpies in the industries u care about
-And for that to happen, u have to do what anime matsuri is doing: Compete with CR. Create companies that can compete with this fuckers. they have a monopoly, noww even more powerful with their purchase of Rightstuf (biggest retail in the USA) If u care about anime don't let this ppl win from the beginning.
-Also, don't take advice from funny youtuber man. You can like rekieta, he's an entertaining dude, but he also has dicks to suck. This shit is serious business and if you are going to sue someone don't just take the word of funny uncle on the screen.

Just remember, these people are stupid enough to think this means the court just okayed them doing this again.

Yes, they're out clean for the original shit they pulled.

They're not out clean if they go after his new anime studio, or continue to try and block him from going to conventions via the whisperbullshit network.

Thats wishful thinking, frankly I don't think Mignona would -want- to go through this all again.

Correction. All the others told Vic he had no case and that he was going to lose. He was advised against a suit.
So was LawTwitter ever proven right about anything beside the affidavits being inadmissible and Ty being a shit lawyer which therefore tanked the case? Sounds like a pretty hollow "victory" for you guys when the court legally could not consider half the evidence and dismissed it on a technicality.

Yeah, he probably had just as much of a case against that one perjury guy but never acted on it.

Next time don't trust Rackets and Ty with money again.

The only cope these guys have now is the Ralphamale defense of, "Well, at least Vic isn't in prison! Whose the real winner now!"
The writing was on the wall for anyone with two brain cells to rub together ever since we saw the complete botch job Rekeita's friend did on this case, and not to mention how obviously guilty this metrosexual molester was!
Cope forever! Keep lining Rekeita's coffers while you cry that a sex offender got what was coming to him just because he voiced the most retarded Dragon Ball character.

Please show where in the ruling the 2COA show's he actually did that or anywhere in this case. Where was the fact finding?
