A VR headset is easily replaceable, a broken neck isn't. I just want to cut my headset weight in half just so I don't ack myself 25 years earlier than expected.

Your neck must be a balsa wood toothpick. Strengthen it up before you have bigger problems, and the headset won't be as big of an issue.

I really need to lighten my quest 2 a notch or two, but that would involve replacing the battery-pack strap with something that would ultimately be obsoleted by the steam frame. I already spent way too much money on something I may no longer use.

Improve your neck, not your gear. You're (hopefully) going to be using that for a lot longer.
 
I'm noticing a theme of morons reviewing sc while never actually using it as anything more than a normal ass controller, and never even trying to rebind pads for instance.

Particularly worst is fags who play EXCLUSIVELY fighters, and complaining its not as good as their comp specific fighting pad, when that was never the point.

Kinda pisses me off since it feels like people saying the james bond car boat is shit because it doesn't go as fast as a speed boat, while never acknowledging its versatility of car to boat to car mode. Yeah no shit a full boat will be better for JUST boat activities.

Or gorilla gripping it, get upset at accidental inputs and then lose their shit at other reviewers for not pointing out this "glaring" flaw.

Who the fuck gorilla grips it, especially if it's in driving games?
