I'd rather they take their time to make the best product possible - the preview looked promising. Love how they made the backgrounds look like the manga itself. I'm going to hazard a guess and say that it looks like it's going to be a faithful adaptation.

That is some fluid stylization. I think they should take as much time as possible to get everything set up perfectly. If they pace themselves well and stay faithful, we could have a really great adaptation.

The official Twitter account for the anime, which was previously slated to premiere this October, announced the adaptation would again be delayed. The statement cited the production team’s request for additional time to faithfully recreate the designs and line work of Ito’s magnum opus.

Better late than never, or never instead of some half-assed trash. Kudos to team (and likely Ito as well) for not buckling under any taking any shortcuts. This kind of content is exceeding rare for obvious reasons that the commercial demand for it isn't very high. Christ who besides David Lynch (in one episode of the Twin Peaks reboot) has made a full hour of television in black and white?

Really wish the project was moved to HBO where in America it would get more attention because HBO is known for making adult experimental content. Adult Swim is the stoner goofy network.

Legit didn't know this dropped and I'm beyond hyped that its looking this good. Not exactly the same style, when you compare shots from the original teaser to this, (the water shots are the same frame but very different in small details, lines etc)

But good god this is getting me excited again.
