What alternative? It's been explained many times, including to you, but you are just incapable of learning and absorbing information like a good little MAGAloid.

Ghislaine was appealing her sentence, which means that if they had released them, she would've gotten off the hook on a technicality. Her appeal was denied after Donald Trump was inaugurated, so he can release them whenever he wants without issues. Instead of releasing the files, Donald Trump moved her to a minimum security prison in exchange for lying and saying he had nothing to do with Epstein. And that's your messiah

If they release the files before her appeal is done, then she gets off the hook on a technicality.
