The problem is a lot of the current credit card companies are so dependent on people getting in debt to "keep the money flowing", they'll willfully give out these cards to people they know will likely be unable to pay them back. If the interest rate was ACTUALLY capped for once, these fags would immediately stop with the "pre-approved card!!" bullshit, because they would not always get people paying them back. Unfortunately that leads to less spending which causes decrease in growth and decrease in "line go up"; which pretty much ALL the rich, not just the credit card companies, but even people like Trump himself, would hate.
I would prefer if the interest percentages were low so these fuckers would be actually more responsible. But they're gonna use the threat of "line no longer go up; thus business go down" to stop most of that shit happening. And Trump ain't the kinda guy who will stop them from that.
I figure they're not gonna get it until someone like Newsom or whoever is in the hotseat and using the precedent Trump set to fuck over red team.
