All they have to do is refuse to fund it and "transgender shit for kids" evaporates in a poof of bankruptcy.

It is completely different. But yes rules lawyersy. Its a recalculation for people under income plans and how those have caps of 20 to 25 years. So people who have been paying for 20 years have gotten it.

The interesting bit will be how far Jordan (or whoever) decides to push Uniparty desires in light of this. Easy to talk of getting Republican Speakers to self-immolate so Ukrainian funding and continuing resolutions can keep getting passed, but primary season is fast approaching and most of the Rep caucus want to keep their jobs. Wouldn't be shocked if things settle into a proper gridlocked lame duck session until the election.
