I am once again baffled how easily the left decided to financially support literal pedophiles and Nazis.
I would've at least assume their commie heritage would've awakened something in them. But I guess not.
What are you talking about? Almost all the early proto-marxist thought leaders were open and proud pedophiles. One of the stated goals of destroying property rights was to make it so the state could have control over children, and if the state (i.e., the early proto-marxists) decided those children needed a nice deep dicking, well, the state knows best.

She might be a cow, but she has detailed receipts.

The big question now is "Can the Freedom Caucus actually use this?". As is, this action does actually hurt the Republican party as a whole, GOPe and MAGA both. It makes the Republicans look weak, chaotic, and like they have no control of themselves. It will reduce enthusiasm to vote for them and turn off moderates.

That is not to say this should not have been done though. Burning the rot is necessary. Now, though, one side has to be able to use it to spurn on positive goals and messaging to offset the damage it did because if neither does the Democrats will.
I m still confused as to why Mccarthy did that got his party on him. Also wouldn't government shut downs etc loom bad for the gop

When that debt ceiling deal passed earlier this year, apparently that was the signal for Gaetz and company that it was time for McCarthy to go and the government shutdown bill was the last straw in their eyes. McCarthy never did anything about a Hunter Biden subpoena either.

You can hear the reasoning of the populist faction and the pro-McCarthy faction for their decisions in this stream from 3:02:15 to 4:14:00 when there was a "debate" between the two but in reality it was more like one side presenting their case and then the other getting their supporters to say why this is a bad idea constantly and in the former's response they would try to retort anything the latter said.

If we had a speaker who cared about this country, the debt ceiling would never have been allowed to rise, and instead of all the Trump arrests we'd be hearing about the fiscal meltdown of this illegitimate regime.

I can't believe Gaetz didn't do this the moment he so much as sniffed a "debt ceiling deal"

Thank you.

I m sorry its just very fractured in my mind.

issues

1) ukraine
2) debt ceiling
3) biden
4) trump

I cant connect how all this relates to ousting him

Assuming the GOPe don't go full retard, it won't be anyone from the Freedom Caucus, but it will be someone they can work with.
The GOPe is going to try and make a Democrat the speaker
Can't forget one Senator getting caned half to death by a Representative on the Senate floor in retribution for accusing a fellow Senator and a relative of said Representative in a floor speech that he only supported slavery because he was a nigger-loving miscegenist who couldn't get it up unless he was raping a slave.
They never mention why the dude got caned, only that he did. I wonder why 🤔

One thing that also has to be factored in is that in the eyes of Gaetz and some on his side McCarthy promised a lot of things to a lot of people and didn't follow through with them. What this amounts to I am unsure.

Anyone as the House Speaker in this Congress would be in a tough spot no matter what since the Republicans only control the House and not the Senate or the Presidency.

Which honestly would make me think it would be easier for McCarthy to "cuck" to the Freedom Caucus and put their shit on the floor to get smashed, Then cry how he's being bullied by his own party.

the way it used to go is that party leaders made deals with their rogue members and then ignored them. the rogue members couldnt do anything because they needed the RNC's money during re election. after the Gop fucked over the maga politicos, those guys built their own donation networks and now Mccarthy is the first speaker ousted in us history.

Have to thank trump bte, he got enough of nonvoters interested into politics to donate to the maga people so they could avoid the rnc purse strings.

e: theres no way MCcarthy was going to capitulate to the maga crowd because it would piss off the national review crowd

don't forget that THEM! came after Gaetz with both barrels with that bullshit around the crazy Seminole county tax collector Joel Greenberg, so he's got a particularly personal reason to just rip all the shit up
This is the arc I was expecting from that faggot Kavanaugh, good to see that somebody has blood in the veins to profess bloody murder instead of curling into a ball and whimpering.
The Republicans have no such ability.
"Yet" is what you are missing there bub. I would not be surprised if they scrambled to add a series of bullshit clauses to disqualify Trump. "Can he run from jail? Yeah, but not with the R" is what I expect them to aim for and suddenly Kennedy and Trump ending up as third parties becomes a mess.

You say it like a four-horse race between Biden, Kennedy, Trump and the nominal GOPe scapegoat wouldn't be entertaining as fuck. I endorse this option as the only chaos Kiwi path.

Donald Trump had literally zero political experience and was elected President. The Republican party which hated him from the start was powerless to stop him from disrupting their "losing gracefully" to Hillary Clinton. Don't move the goalposts.

The reason Kevin McCarthy lost his speakership and the reason Donald Trump could get the nomination both come down to the fact that unlike the Democrats, the Republican Party is not as centralized and does not have as much decision-making power concentrated in the hands of the national committee, and the reason for that is the GOP is built to be effective for donors while not in power, while the Democrats are built to maintain discipline until they get power back. This comes down to how badly FDR buckbroke the Republican Party and built an enduring power base for the Democrats. That didn't really begin to unravel until the 1990s, but the Republicans, instead of seizing the opportunity and building enduring constituencies under Bush, simply doubled down on giving the donors what they wanted at the expense of the voters.

Thank you.

McCarthy had promised no more funding the government through CRs. Next spending bill would be a proper budget. Well, he broke his promise because he's a cuck, and now he's in the cuck shed.

while the Democrats are built to maintain discipline until they get power back.
I think this has more to do with the locale of Democrat districts versus Republican districts. Republicans tend to be rural or suburban outskirts and Democrat tend to be Urban and the immediate border suburbs to the city. When a politician gets elected its almost extremely difficult to break their incumbency advantage, since most Democrats are derived from urban areas that vote 90% Democrat they're effectively life appointees since the only threat they face is in the primaries, something that always tilts greatly towards incumbents as they get vastly more donor money than outsiders. Republicans on the other hand are largely derived from rural areas which has less districts and money to begin with, then the suburbs which may split 50/50 Democrat and Republican depending on ethnic makeup of the population and gerrymandering. Republican areas tend to be primed for turnover in General elections unlike the Democrat areas which only see threats during the primaries.

You can see the results of this play out since the 1970s, the Republicans go through multiple periods of collapse and the median age of the party drops over and over, the most notable and recent being the 2006-2008 election slaughters, the Democrats on the otherhand have always maintained that urban core that prevents them from being ejected so the median age has only gone up since the 1970s. The downsides to this is that the Democrats have basically zero junior politicians being groomed for middle management or leadership roles over the long term, they're all viewed as outsider threats that need to be squashed. Meanwhile the Republican party gets culled frequently enough that there is a constant rotation of new blood that has to be entertained. Of the two parties, the Republican party is the most likely to adapt to change in the country and be more representatives of the population at large. The new blood that has come in lately is absolutely nothing like the Neo-con cretins of the 1980s-2008. Though I must admit this dynamic is less prevalent when it comes to the Senate, there is just a whole range of different dynamics there and the Senate Republicans are an entirely different breed from the House Republicans.
