"Winning" in the human brain is being adored by the public. It requires discipline to train the brain to focus on more nebulous objectives.
The ultimate leader of any party is the President. Congress is only a factor if the party doesn't have the presidency. Most of my post focused on the difference between the presidential primaries which has nothing to do with committee assignments. Donald Trump had literally zero political experience and was elected President. The Republican party which hated him from the start was powerless to stop him from disrupting their "losing gracefully" to Hillary Clinton. Don't move the goalposts.
The Democrats have the ability to rig their primaries via superdelegates. The Republicans have no such ability.

Watching the RINO meltdown over this has been fantastic. These frauds bitch, piss, and moan about the corruption in DC and how there is absolutely no accountability for our elected officials, so when finally someone is held accountable for breaking their word, the RINOs and DeSimps(is there a difference between them?) run to the hills whining about unity as they rubberstamp and give every single thing Democrats want.

The big question now is "Can the Freedom Caucus actually use this?". As is, this action does actually hurt the Republican party as a whole, GOPe and MAGA both. It makes the Republicans look weak, chaotic, and like they have no control of themselves. It will reduce enthusiasm to vote for them and turn off moderates.
That is not to say this should not have been done though. Burning the rot is necessary. Now, though, one side has to be able to use it to spurn on positive goals and messaging to offset the damage it did because if neither does the Democrats will.

Well the biggest difference between the Dems and GoPe is their selection process and their attitudes towards government.
Notice how the DNC has 100% control over candidates with their "super-delegates" so it really doesn't matter who the people select the elites have the final say. While the GoPe lacks this layer, at the moment at least, allowing for black swans like Trump to happen no matter how the elites protest.
This attitude spreads over to the parties attitudes towards government. The Dem's view the democratic process as tool to be used and not an end in itself. If they really believed in "our democracy", like they seem to say on an almost hourly basis, why have the super-delegates? Why have all the hoops and barrels a candidate must jump through to get onto the local ballots. No the Dems are all about control. The government is just a tool to them to exert control and not a good in and of itself.
No the GoPe is a little different, I really believe that many of the rank and file Repubs believe in actual democracy. So much so that it blinds them to the evils going on on the left side of the aisle. They believe in the process of government and the act of voting and of course this is their downfall. The RNC has open and free selection processes, that allow for anyone to get the nomination providing he/she can tally up the votes. This is in stark contrast to the Democrat process of nomination.
This is also why the DNC seems to have a iron grip on it's members. In an ideal world the DNC is their to support the candidates but we all know it's the other way around. You must please the elites, promise your soul and then they might just maybe allow you a shot at the prize. With the RNC we saw how they fell in line behind Trump, however unwillingly, after it was clear he had the peoples votes. Again, such a stark contrast to the DNC that did everything but hit him with a bus to stop Bernie from gaining any foothold.
Now tell me which party you would rather have in power? Despite the failing of the leadership uni-party drones I still believe that the average GoPer has whats best for America at heart. Can you say the same thing about the average Democrat?

The Democrats see the GoP as a mindless evil. Something to be overcome at any cost.

Absolutely does not, it may piss off the donors, but I've yet to see a single negative twitter remark from people outside of the swamp. The only people seething are the donors, journalist and D.C. cretins. The Republican base gives off the appearance that they're ecstatic with McCarthy getting hurled out onto his ass for backstabbing what the base wants. As for independents that the party needs to pick up, they do not pay attention or digest any political news until long after the primaries are over and its a few months out from election day. If there was any time to smite McCarthy it would be right now.
