First ever Speaker to be remove from the position as well as the shortest tenure too, didn't even last a year. We might be witnessing the breakdown of the Sixth Party System that's been around since Reagan in real time, very interesting to see what happens in the next few days, especially with the rumor of Kennedy running as an independent.
Patrick McHenry (R-NC) is now acting Speaker, with the only power he has to call a vote for the new Speaker. It's basically what happened in January as long as the Democrats keep voting along party lines.

Considering that the budget that got passed (did it get past the senate) only lasted something like 30 (45?) days, can we hit a scenario where we hit a gov shutdown cause there is no new speaker to vote on new funding?

If the voting lasts that long, probably. Either way as long as there is no Speaker, no bills can be introduced or passed, meaning the House is functionally deadlocked. It quite literally cannot do anything but vote on who the Speaker of the House will be, that's it.

A guy said he would fix the tax loopholes that got him rich, and you voted for him, his first bill was to install tax laws for the wealthy. He didn't close any loopholes.
You guys were calling for the wealthy using the loopholes to be hanged for it; and now you support a guy who is in court for using the loopholes, but you want him not to be charged and let off the hook for the very loopholes he told you he was going to get rid of, instead used and is now prosecuted for violating the law and the loopholes.
You guys are so backwards is incredible. And now you've vacated the Speaker position.
