There's strong evidence that it does not.
You know the author of that paper works for Watershed. A AI company based around using AI to sell carbon credits and playing those fuck fuck games.

He also claims data centers not only do not make power costs go up. But they make costs go down. Somehow AI is so powerful it can violate supply and demand.

Do you have some papers from a they/them about child castration is totally life saving for trans children next?

You know if the supply is diminished prices go up and not down right? Thats basic economics.
It's an over simplification, there is more to it than data centers. Power had been getting it from all angles. We have to deal with our aging power infrastructure, over investing in unreliable renewables, push for electric cars, sudden population growth from immigration, and good ol' inflation driving power cost up. Not to mention if we did want to go nuclear there is tons of red tape and bureaucracy from the state and federal level and there is always a risk that the project gets started then the next libshit that gets into office says no and shuts it down.

Economies of scale is also basic economics. Increasing utilization of power lines (including towers, right-of-ways, etc.), generators, and so on spreads fixed costs across more kilowatt-hours, reducing the per-KWh cost.

Do you have an argument with the paper's methodology, or just an ad hominem in response? Here's another source, comparing electricity costs between states and before/after datacenter projects.

According to the DOE, data center usage is currently only about 4% of U.S. electricity usage (albeit growing). You can ban them completely and it won't make any difference on rates. Banning electric cars and air conditioning would be much more effective, if banning things lowered rates (it doesn't).

We live in the U.S. of fucking A. Consuming electricity is our God-given right. If we need more power, we should build more power plants (hopefully nuclear). We don't need communist faggots telling us not to build things because wah wah it takes too much power.

Why is the reflecting pool a culture war flashpoint? Vandalizing it is as retarded as burning down a park because Trump decided to have the bushes trimmed along the bike path.
Deranged leftists want to anger Trump and go to prison over algae because Trump has made addressing the state of the Reflecting Pool one of his pet projects in recent weeks.

Leftists are brainbroken. They see order, things being repaired, trash being cleaned up, and they can't stand it. That's not wholesome chungus, how are the homeless supposed to shoot up a lethal dose of fent if everything is nice and not shit?

I don't know much about data centers in general, but I do understand the infrastructure, utilities, and the cooling systems. I also notice the same faggots that lie to me constantly about fracking, nuclear, and coal are shaking mason jars of muddy water in front of every camera they can while telling me data centers are bad. I'm not saying they aren't, just that I don't trust any of the people telling me they are.

In texas there is a bitcoin mine that buys extra electricity from the local nuclear power plant, its in the middle of nowhere to avoid regulations.

Its basically metal containers filled with fans, and they are loud its not a data center.

A data center is a room with computers, the cooling systems are industrial level and are closed loop depending on the set up they might have the second loop evaporate off evap towers an yes the treat the water to prevent corrotions etc.

Also yes since its room filled with computers your not gonna have a bunch a jobs created for the people, in terms of tax differements or incentives it might not be the best thing for the communitiy but your right the people waving dirty water and yelling about noise are full of shit because again its a room full of computers

Its an iconic memorial. The national Mall is designed as a unified symbol of the modern Federal Government. At one end, there is Congress, the Constitutional Legislature. But at the other end is Abraham Lincoln, Americas martyred God, who died to preserve the Union and now sits on the throne of Zeus in a Greek Temple anointed by all the States of the Union. An eternal reminder to the people, the city, and Congress, the consequences for defying the Crown of America. Death. Death both for the wielder and for the States that got to adorn the temple.

The Reflecting Pool (Facing the Lincoln Memorial) reflects the Washington Monument in its full totality, in the direction of Abraham Lincolns Throne. The Washington Monument, being Obelisk, is intended to reflect the light of the Sun, the supreme God. Thus, by reflecting the Washington Monument in the direction of Lincoln rather then Congress, the elected Congress is reminded that they are not the supreme authority. The supreme authority is violence, represented in the enthroned form of the United States President who waged war against the nation itself and prevailed. Thus preserving not only the unified American Nation, but the Revolution and the Government that Washington first started. An eternal reminder that Congress is transient. But Lincoln, what he did, and what he represents as the martyred authority of the American people unified, IS.

That is what the reflecting pool is, and how it is incorporated into the overall set up of the national mall. It is very much a sacred water source for the nation and intended for that purpose.

To summarize the past week:

-The UK Muslim gangs rape report coming to light is worse than we already knew. Horrific.

-Fauci gain of function researched was 100% confirmed

-A full-on terror plot in DC by an illegal immigrant was thankfully thwarted

... And the media is laser focused on algae.

We. Don't. Hate. The. Media. Enough.

I went to a different church than usual for mass today. The sermon was fantastic. It was focused on Christian persecution in this country and around the world, and media censorship, compliance, and silence over it. The priest was calm, yet passionate about the subject. Based priest, based sermon. 10/10.
