Yeah, I can tell that a lot of people don't understand how Americans make war. We aren't Europoors who have to count every fucking bullet.

Equipment and vehicles can be replaced, even if we lost SUPA-TANK-9000 and KILLA-JET-SUPA-MAX-8000! to goat herders with AK's, we just lost gear. Missiles and rockets and bullets and grenades were made to be used.

America has focused on keeping people around.

Communists and the Europeans don't care about people, they care about equipment. Some of those commanders viewed victory and how great a victory by how many troops they lost and you can see that shit in the way so many morons post.

For America, losing a bunch of gear is a "who gives a shit" to the Pentagon.

Better 5 Apaches than 1 coffin. Better two jets and a tank than a POW.

And I can tell the people who don't understand how America makes war.

See, we don't care about your cities, your fucking vehicles.

We are here to kill YOU.

We're here for the human side.

The original M16A1 and M16A2 had the barrel twist and the bullet weight they did to make the bullet tumble, so when it hit, it fucked them up. It even put a priority on killing and injuring. Injuring because each wounded enemy soldier took up the resources of 3 to 7 depending on the enemy. Injured troops showed the enemy what was waiting and they got to go back and tell people how bad it was to face us.

We're here to kill the enemy, not some gay ass metric about how many vehicles each side has. The communists and the press has made every fucking anti-war idiot think that going "U LAWST TWO AIR THINGS THAT GO WHUP WHUP WHUP AND MORE THAN TWO THINGS THAT GO IN SKY! AND MORE THAN TWO! MORE THAN TWO! GROUND THINGS GO CLANK CLANK! MORE THAN TWO! THERE IS NO MORE THAN TWO!"

You're faggots and I hope you get drafted and sent to Greenland in a Speedo in October.

Bit of a late post, but this is absolutely the most pertinent point about student loans. Kids have been sold this lie by every single authority figure they should have been able to trust that they needed to get a degree in order to do anything for over thirty years. You can't pretend that this wasn't happening. And even when they got the degrees they found out all they had were student loans and degrees that got them $25/hour jobs.

The center can not hold on this.
I'm actually retarded late to add my own two cents, but I can support this claim. People were like "oh if you go to college you'll be able to actually get a good job and such" but as time went on the reality kinda set in that... this isn't happening. People older than me talking about how even if you got a bachelor's, you got a stupid piece of paper that said you were competent at some random college subject nobody cares about and crippling student debt and all for nothing, because you're most definitely not getting that job because you weren't already in the industry for 30 something years already (or whatever other reason they like to come up with).

Because I'm not the richest person ever I saw the writing on the wall, realized I could skip the "suffering from student loan debt" part, and just not attend college for the same low wage job I'd be getting even if I had that goddamn degree. Sometimes I do wish I did go to college because "just maybe" I'd get lucky and the claims everyone makes would come true, but I remain convinced that it was honestly worth not gambling my savings to find out.

Words cannot describe the sheer catharsis of people who bragged about how educated they are having to work all the dirty disgusting jobs college was supposed to keep them out of.

Funny enough this also in a incidental way shows how much we value human life and when we're ready to take it it means we've taken off our sweat pants and put on our work pants.

I'm going to trust the man who has plane autism over you on this one, every genuine sperg has their specialty, and this is his

I did not know that there was another feast called the Pascha, i wonder if that's where the bread comes from?
Pascha is Easter. It’s not a separate feast. It’s Easter on the Julian calendar date.

Ultimately everyone trying to spin 'you spent so much materiel just to rescue one man!' is coping, either consciously or unconsciously. If the US made no attempt to rescue the pilot at all and he was captured to be publicly dragged through the streets of Tehran every retard who's replaced their brain with a BRICS telegram stream of consciousness would be parading through here to gloat instead of occasionally dropping by to cry about what a hugbox it is.

If you guys want a little whitepill a boomer acquaintance of mine who has hated Trump for years was really impressed with the rescue, and it even seemed to soften her heart against Trump. Also she went from "those poor Iranians!" to "I'm glad he was rescued from those psychopaths, I heard they blah blah blah".

I have been viewing a lot of Trump's military adventurism as him setting the board for ww3. He has been going after BRIC energy sources, taking Venezuela's oil fields for the US, gimping Iran's oil industry, striking Russian refineries and seizing their tankers. Iran able to still intimidate civilian shipping is annoying, but that is a problem for Europe as they are not willing to help secure their own energy needs and will be useless when WW3 pops off and Iran and Russia shut off the tap for them anyway. As for Iran providing an area of denial. civilian shipping is extremely skiddish and of insurance companies say no, then ships are not going to pass even if they are safe from attacks. For the rest of Iran, the only area they deny the US are areas the US is not interested in. The recent rescue mission showed that even if the Iranians are hell bent on controlling the area (like the area of the missing pilot), if the US wants in, they will kick in the door, skull fuck anyone who trys to stop them, then leave before people can process what actually happened.

My boomer dad went from "we really shouldn't even be there" to "i hope Trump flattens the entire backwards shithole"

You don't touch our boats and you don't try to capture our doods.

BRICS is full of loser countries who will do nothing. The big dog is Russia and we basically ground them to a halt in Ukraine, they did nothing to help Iran in their time of need.

Also if Iran had nukes, they'd have launched them by now.

Welp looks like I'm replaying Call of Duty: World at War for the umpteenth time

Literally the best part of any campaign. Even our video game propaganda is focused on the most utterly heroic act of fighting to save your brothers in arms.

Europe sprouts our proudly on how many people die, how many were sacrificed by egotistical nobles in officer clubs. The United States has the stories of Desmond Doss. Of the Japanese who saved the Texans. Of men who throw themselves onto grenades, fight and die to protect the retreat, take out literal armies because if they don't, hundreds of their own will die. Look at who and why we give out Medals of Honor too, it's literally just a list of people who sacrificed themselves to make sure their buddies got home. Only a few make it home alive themselves, most of them with less meat than when they left, but they all go before God with far more soul.

Also fuck I love the Catalinas. What a beautiful plane. That they unironically just dipped into the ocean to rescue downed pilots in the middle of battle is a tradition that became the standard for the United States. We have the best rescue services in the world with not just the obvious public services like the Coast Guard that do shit that would be thought of as insane by everyone else, but we have specialized our forces on how to save hostages (and offer to rescue other countries forces as well), and our Pararescue is literally special forces for medics and hold more medical life-saving capability in a single helicopter in a combat zone than half the British hospitals.

Americans may not want free healthcare, but we will charge into hell itself while carrying enough medical equipment to crush the devil if it meant saving one of our own.
