have to comment on the absurdity of this. you're upset that an Israeli PM knew his place and mildly warned against this plan while emphasizing how much more important Iran was as a threat.

did you want him to order Bush not to do it?
I'm not upset at anything, I'm simply pointing out the absurdity of your position that Israel was opposed to the war because the Prime Minster gave some general advice. If he or anyone else high up in the Israel government thought the war would be a serious risk to Israel security or interests, they would have said so. Which might have convinced Bush to not launch the invasion. Look just post Ariel Sharon's exact words about not wanting Bush to invade Iraq.

Israeli intelligence fell into line with what the Americans/British were saying after Ariel Sharon met with Bush and they did a give and take where they would publicly support the war while privately being against it in order to get concessions on the west bank. you would know this if you read the articles i cited

Curveball and Ahmed Chalabi were far more important than any Israeli intelligence.
So just to be clear, Israel fully believed Saddam was producing or had WMDs? The same Israel that openly bombed Saddam's nuclear program back in the eighties? You honestly expect me to believe they were opposed to the war when they thought a man who had targeted Israel in the past, had killed Israelis in the past was about to have or had WMDs? That they would be perfectly happy for Saddam to have WMDs, but somehow not with Iran getting them right now?

israel did that through multiple times of the US going against Israeli interests. Israel is a vassal state of the US.
Vassal states do not preemptively launch wars forcing their hegemon to advance their own timetables. Little Marco Rubio himself got up in front of the press and said as much. Which was reported in this very thread.

Routes still existed but they were harder to move supplies through and often relied on air.
If the routes were using air, they weren't going through Iraq.

No one will ever get to dogfight one

If a MiG ever gets close enough we've failed in what's called our "Layered Defense Architecture", which is exactly what it sounds like
That was always the plan with the F-22s, if I recall. You see the AWACS and your first hint the F-22s are there is when the bays open and suddenly missiles, and you rely on the AWACS, not the F-22s active radar. Outside of exercises anyways, but it does sounds like the pilots who've gotten to fly the F-35 love them, it's had teething problems, but quite a bit less than the F-16's. Of course, the US bullshits in the other direction with military capabilities, we tend to underplay what our stuff can do. No need to fluff up a tiny yellow dick.

Lots of people were mentally challenged already, don't even try that shit bro. Truth is that Grand Marshal Trump has 100 percent support of the people, and we are going to take Taiwan. Just stop being a bitch about it like Zhou Kent.

Get you a man or woman who looks at you the way this soldier is looking at Trump.

Which might have convinced Bush to not launch the invasion. Look just post Ariel Sharon's exact words about not wanting Bush to invade Iraq.
Soon after Israeli officials got wind of that planning, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon asked for a meeting with Bush primarily to discuss U.S. intentions to invade Iraq. In the weeks preceding Sharon's meeting with Bush on Feb. 7, 2002, a procession of Israeli officials conveyed the message to the Bush administration that Iran represented a greater threat, according to a Washington Post report on the eve of the meeting.

Israeli Defence Minister Fouad Ben-Eliezer, who was visiting Washington with Sharon, revealed the essence of the strategic differences between Tel Aviv and Washington over military force. He was quoted by the Post as saying, "Today, everybody is busy with Iraq. Iraq is a problem...But you should understand, if you ask me, today Iran is more dangerous than Iraq."

Sharon never revealed publicly what he said to Bush in the Feb. 7 meeting. But Yossi Alpher, a former adviser to Prime Minister Ehud Barak, wrote in an article in the Forward last January that Sharon advised Bush not to occupy Iraq, according to a knowledgeable source. Alpher wrote that Sharon also assured Bush that Israel would not "push one way or another" regarding his plan to take down Saddam Hussein.

Israeli journalist Nadav Eyal on what Ariel Sharon said to him:

In 2002, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told me that the United States was about to fight “the wrong war.” He was referring to the planned invasion of Iraq- What he meant was not that Washington should occupy Iran, which he regarded as the main threat to the region, but that Iran- not Saddam Hussein- was the central strategic danger.

GAY NIGGERS, SOMETHING IMPORTANT JUST HAPPENED

AFROMAN JUST WON HIS CASE

A-logging cops is back on the table, boys! I hope this is the beginning of his first amendment auditing career.

Lick 'em low, Lisa!

But for real, the Streisand effect on this one is wild. May it strike fear in the hearts of corrupt cops.

Randy Walters is a son of a bitch.

Well, the Russians lie as SOP, but they're usually reasonable lies. China lies about everything to look like Number One. India is always full of shit, but usually incompetently so. No one cares about Brazil or South Africa, they don't matter much on the geopolitical front. Muslims like to fluff themselves up. It's all a lot of bullshit, but the F-35s, both ours and Israeli models, have been doing a lot of heavy lifting, so imagine you're China and your knock off SAMs and super duper Anti-Stealth radar haven't don't shit for Venezuela and Iran. That's gonna hurt the Chinamen right in the Chink Izzat. Lots of people are going to owe the F-35 apologies, the program got stupid, but the product it delivered appears to be better than the program.
One has to wonder what is currently going through the heads of Chinese military planners now they have two solid examples of their hardware being useless. Taiwan might as well be on the far side of the pacific if the Chinese can't reasonably contest its own airspace, let alone the air space of the western pacific. Guam and Okinawa will be our unsinkable aircraft carriers, and the stealth boys will own the airspace from them to Tibet. Fuck we might even base jets from same bases currently hitting Iran for targets in western China. To be a Chinese speaking fly on the wall in one of those meetings right now...

To be fair to Matt, he's had a bit of redemption arc. At the very least Orcbrand, of the famous "The Racist Community is tolerant," meme, who lives at 210 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY, thinks he's okay these days. I mean, I'm not really picking his side, but if he's going after Loomer and Greenwald, I'll cheer him on.

don't you worry about which base we'll launch on western china from. we're gonna build a big, beautiful base in Iran. It's gonna be huge. I'm telling you, bigger than you've ever seen before. The biggest military base of all time. The Chinese are gonna be able to see it from space with their fuzzy little cameras.

I've already got my top jew on it. He's going to claw back all the fraud from those somalis - terrible people, horrible, one of the worst people. We're gonna use all that money to build the biggest base of all time in the middle east, yes we are, and you know who's gonna be heading it? That's right, the great Marco Rubio, Big Marco. I couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job running our new city-base. He's our guy.

Will the warlords post Xi use nukes on eachother? Knowing Chinese civil wars, yes.

It's part of why I think China really wants Taiwan to come back to the fold politically or economically. But the saber rattling about taking the island is important for domestic consumption. No one really wants to find out if China's an 800 pound gorilla or a paper tiger, especially China.

did they really believe it worked in the first place? i wonder if it worked on the J-20 and that's why they thought it would work on the F-22, they were just outright saying with no data that they could definitely detect American stealth aircraft by assuming that it was equivalent to their 'gen 5'. I don't believe China ever showed any evidence of those radars being capable. this suggests to me that the j-20s are probably not actually stealthy, and would not in any way hold up in a dogfight against even an F-35, let alone an F-22.

same for Russia's beloved Nebo-M, which they've touted as capable of detecting 5th generation fighters since 2011, and have never shown any evidence of. i can only assume that they were using results from the prototype Sukhoi Su-57, because there's no way they just MADE IT UP ENTIRELY that they could detect stealth aircraft. They HAD to think they could. this is my cope to remain in the belief that all our enemies aren't just complete paper tigers. They were misled by doing American-style self-testing but because they can't risk using American military deployments to test things like their own stealth crafts' radar stealth, they have to rely on what they make to be accurate. a DIRE ask for the Chinese, and not an easy one for the Russians these days either.

So the jews DID do it.
There are a shitload of variables at play here. When you hear that an F35 has the same radar cross section as a sparrow it just means that it is harder to see at distances they would not be able to hit it at anyway. Even chinesium radar running on vibe coded software will probably be suspicious of the sparrow that is moving at 500 knots and (possibly) blasting out radio signals of its own.

The bigger problem is that seeing a plane is not the same thing as being able to guide a missile onto it. Systems like the AGM-88/E HARM further complicate this by homing onto radar signals (like the one the target is painting them with) on top of having inertial guidance and the ability to remember where the radar was if it is switched off AND is effective at ranges beyond the SAM system's ability to effectively respond (F-15; my love). And this is just a quick and dirty rundown without even getting into things like networked systems and active jamming let alone the classified shit and the tradition of understating the capabilities of American hardware.

TL;DR: Chinamen and russkies almost certainly have the ability to see through American stealth if it closes to fighting range. They probably don't have the ability to do anything useful with this information, unless running away and surviving is considered a W, and they probably know it. The idea that they might genuinely believe otherwise is pretty funny though.

Literally nothing here says "Don't invade Iraq." "Don't occupy Iraq" is not the same as "Don't go in and topple Saddam." "Iran is the bigger threat" is not the same "don't invade Iraq and topple Saddam." You want to make the argument Israel favored going Tehran first rather than Baghdad, fine. Doesn't change the fact Ariel didn't tell Bush invading Iraq was a bad idea. Doesn't change the fact Israel all the reason in the world to see Saddam toppled.

read the original article i linked which explicitly addresses that
You gave me a quote, you didn't link the article. The quote said inspectors believed Iraq was disarmed, and Israel having the best military intelligence would have been in a position to gauge that. Of course, if that were the case, Ariel would have been very clear with Bush that Iraq wasn't a problem, that curveball was bullshit, and that wasting time deposing Saddam could have been better spent invading Iran. Somebody in Israel believed Curveball was true.

Italy's greece adventure?
Lol, seriously? Again if Israel was America's vassal, they would not have launch preemptive strikes.
