6 years ago uploaded, God only knows how much older, its Kino but it was a fucking prophecy

"the police chief is going to say, we love our Somalis, we love our Muslims ohh their so good ohh their so sweet"

"millions of people of the very worst kind are pouring in"

That may have changed in the last 10 to 15 years, but probably not very significantly, at least on the rusky side.
If their stance toward the Japanese is anything to go by, it's probably degenerated. Russian activity/population in the disputed Northern (Kuril) Islands off the coast of Hokkaido is substantially less than it was even 20 years ago. The US listening post (aka consulate) in Sapporo has become pretty idle.

Fun historical tidbit, since it's late and the thread is slow: the Russians allegedly offered to sell the Kurils back to Japan during the Nakasone government (i.e. during not yet quite the height of the Japanese economic bubble, when the fuckers were buying Van Goghs and prime real estate all over the world left, right, and center). Standing on his pride and the invincibility of the Japanese nation (which was to utterly collapse a few short years later), Nakasone turned Gorby down. Epic fail.
Vietnam is a non-factor as they share a land border with China and most of the ruling class down there are in Peking's pocket.
I think you're underestimating regional distaste for China (Japan, Korea, et. al.) but your take on Vietnam I believe is really wide of the mark. Are you sure you're not conflating Vietnam with Cambodia, in which case your points are spot-on? The Viets hate the Chinese with a passion.

For some reason this thread was talking about MST3K last week and I've been watching them a bit since then. Tonight the one I picked at random happened to feature maximum Canada bashing including this gem of a song.

Everywhere I go people are laughing at Canada right now and it's amazing.

under mamdani woke is so bad we can't even get minorities to deliver food in bad weather
They do that all the time. Uber eats gets suspended during a typhoon days, but even the typhoon completely changed course and it was the most beautiful day ever, fuck you, the service is still suspended.

Funny how vulnerable the "gig economy" is to people outside the actual gig deciding to be dicks and wield unwarranted influence just to make sure they get (and keep) their slice of the vig, eh?

Y'know, this snowstorm takes me back to being a kid staying up late at night during midwinter break at school. I'd be staring out the window looking at the snowfall and my DS would have the Acuity Lakefront theme from Pokemon Diamond playing.

Stay safe and warm out there, everyone. Don't forget to take frequent breaks when shovelling out your sidewalks, stairs, cars, driveways, and such. Premature death to overexertion is a horrible way to go out.

He's not that far off the mark. Cambodia and Laos are a Chinese playground, but while the Vietnamese people themselves have no love for China the Vietnamese government are basically Cold War Finland with regards to China and would prefer to stay out of any conflict with them if possible. Barring some kind of regional black swan event there's little chance there'll be a Vietnamese government that pivots to a hawkish anti-China stance anytime soon.

It seems like the Dems have backed themselves into a corner, anyone that can get through the primaries is unelectable in the general election and anyone electable in the general election wouldn't get past the primaries.
That plus the USAID cuts nuked their income, ICE is deporting their voter base, and loss of dem programs through which they funnel money to the party insiders is gassing their remaining income.

If it weren't for certain state Republican parties jeeting up their electorates and ethnic mafias sending all the jobs they can overseas, the Republicans would have this election in the bag.

cambodia became such a basket case with polpot, the vietnamese went in and sorted them out.

China said hey those are my niggers. Then china and vietnam had a alittle war, which china won because vietnam left cambodia and china lost because they never made it much progress into vietnam. owing to mao fucking over the PLA.

Well yes and no. The Chinese invasion utterly failed to remove Vietnam from Cambodia and Vietnam continued to fight an Iraq-style occupation of Cambodia for a decade after the PLA withdrew in disarray from Vietnam. However in the long run the puppet leader Vietnam installed in Cambodia took charge in his own right and ended up aligning Cambodia with China again anyway and the entire experience left the Viet government with no desire to fight a rematch against China even if they had won initially.

After occupying it for 10 years ('79-'89) and basically wiping out the entirety of the Khmer Rouge. This narrative that China won that war in any regard needs to be put to bed. China both failed to invade Vietnam and save the Khmer Rouge from getting crushed by them so they accomplished absolutely nothing except for embarassing themselves and losing a bunch of men and material.
