There's something equal parts hilarious and despairing about knowing that Planet Fitness PR is having an emergency meeting right now to discuss ways to stop men from masturbating in the women's bathroom that doesn't involve acknowledging that there's men in the women's bathroom.

If you ever want to see crazy corruption and fraud look into non-emergency ambulances and medical transport. It's a fucking cesspit.

So I ended up in a skilled nursing facility for a good length of time. One of the admin staff took a holiday and her tempt made my fallow up appointments at the hospital. Since I was in the care of a bunch of different departments. she basically booked two follow ups the same day.

The ambulance service picked me up, took on a gurney to one department. at say 10 am and I had another appointment at 2 pm. the ambulance service then said they were gonna find a wheel chair to put me in and leave me because they had to do other runs, I was caught flat footed, and looking back I realize the hospital staff were running cover to prevent me from being taken off their gurny and on a exam table. Because they were ready to bolt.

I ended up cancling my 2 pm appoint saying to them to just take me back. My insurance will not (and rightfully) pay for multiple transports in the same day. Because of double dipping bullshit.

When I confronted the temp, she was all "well I called that company and they told me it wouldnt be a problem" when the normal lady came back she was all "yeah thats what they do"

While I m bitching about my medical ms adventure I would like to take the time to say that the Nurse at the non accute hospital celina with a "C" because she s a cunt. Gave me a dose of the red pill she was hispanic and when you have bed sores and a need to be moved, she would answer my call button turn off the light, say "hey i need to finish some charting I ll be back" and never come back.

Sorry I mostly browse this thread through highlights so if someone mentioned this rate me clocks but I really don't think their horrible economy is the biggest issue. Sure it's not great, in fact I'm not sure it's ever been worse.

The issue though is really the water crisis. Through a series of ridiculous blunders from growing water hungry crops to improper irrigation and engineering projects they are just about out of water. They're talking about evacuating parts of Tehran and I've even seen mentions of moving the capital.

A society can live through military humiliation, their economy being shit on is likely to be propped up to at least some extent through their allies like China especially as they potentially lose access to Venezeula's oil. You can't prop up a lack of water in the desert, industries can't run, crops can't be irrigated, people can't drink. If the current regime in Iran collapses I think that's going to be a major factor.

Mild powerlevel but years ago I had a flight cancelled due to nature and I was decent friends with our deployment manager so when I called the airline and they couldn't get me a flight for me and my wife I vaguely flexed that card and was transferred up the chain quite rapidly to a man who solved my problem by using a company debit card to book me same day tickets with a competitive airline just to make me happy. I didn't name drop anyone I mildly implied my relationship to a deployment manager.

The government doesn't care about money or discounts they will pay full price and their money is rock solid, they will use your business over and over and not collect reward points or save money they will pay MSRP for everything with a smile and at scales few others can. It is insane to alienate an organization like that.

I think it's partly about wanting America to save us so we don't have to do work but I think it's more about political tribalism. Putin is seen as far-right by Europe and by European lefties (By leftie I don't mean the tankie crowd I mean our version of America's Democrats.) while Maduro is a socialist, therfore on the left so America intervening to remove Venezuela's dictator is bad while America intervening in Ukraine would be seen as a good thing because it's typical left vs right.
