What exactly happens when the government "shuts down", cause its looking like dems will do it. Their base wants them to "fight" the fascists after all.

Some services will be shut down but its pretty much a paid vacation for the people in charge. I think in the past some national parks and museums have shut down but thats about it. Military officers and army units would continue to work but dont get paid until the shut down is over. Trump threatening mass firings is probably a good thing here in all honesty.

It's happened 21 times before. And it's become such a political attention seeking tool that they've written laws to remove almost all consequences to the American public from it. They've legislated away the entire point of shutting down the government to make it mostly theater and headlines. It's meant to sow hardship to the country, and motivate people to make changes to leadership. Instead, it's a clownshow for everyone to use for their 24/7 campaigning.

"We're going to SHUT IT DOWN!! (except Social Security, law enforcement, border security, millitary, health care and a bunch of other things that actually matter)! You wouldn't want us to SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT (except Social Security, law enforcement, border security, millitary, health care and a bunch of other things that actually matter) would you? That would be bad if we SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT (except Social Security, law enforcement, border security, millitary, health care and a bunch of other things that actually matter)"

What ends up actually happening is you can't go to the Grand Canyon for a few days because the National Parks system closes. Everything else is administrative and doesn't have an immediate impact on anyone.

It came from all the auto workers in the old days of Detroit reusing oil pans to cook pizza in, hence the shape.
It existed before that though and most likely started on the east coast before it made it's way to Detroit. They claim it's slightly different than a typical Sicilian because of the minor difference of having cheese to the edge that crisps up on the pan, but I strongly doubt they were the first to do it. It's only in recent years where they're trying to rehab Detroit as anything but niggerhell that people have started calling it Detroit pizza outside of Detroit. Even in other parts of Michigan they never called it Detroit pizza.

So most of the crowd was FBI? That makes a lot of sense and explains why the Democrats loved to talk about it: January 6 was literally a false flag.
There were well over 120,000 people at the National Mall for the rally that day. Whether all the feds from that ended up at the capital riot, who could say, but that number of people milling about a crowd the size of the actual rally is completely negligible.
Meanwhile in NYC

Uhh.. did they not know he was a Democrat when they elected him?

Growing up I always just referred to the square style as deep dish, but calling it "Detroit style" caught on because if I was talking to someone outside of Michigan and just said deep dish, they'd have no idea what I was talking about. It's not the first square pizza, but calling the Buddy's style square deep dish a Sicilian is like calling a plain cheese from Dominoes a Margherita

So what I'm hearing is we shut down the government, Trump gets to purge it with complete impunity, and absolutely nothing bad happens. So can Massie chose this time to be a snivelling faggot and vote against Republicans instead of all the times it actually matters.

Fair enough, but it's not negligible if those FBI agents were going around and whipping up the crowd or encouraging them to go to the Capitol.

the abduction seems to be real, the MAGA link is highly suspect
17 year old son of a large commercial farming operation jacked by a few probably mexicans in bumfuck agriculture sounds more like somebody mad about money than unhinged libs seething over a hat
Sorry if late but I think I got an Amber alert for this last night. Didn't really look but I recall it being Marion county.

Whats even dumber is, the Dems are dying on a retarded hill. This isn't the ACTUAL budget pass timeline. Its a 6 week spending agreement BEFORE the actual deadline. Literally just a can kick gesture to gear up for the REAL fight next month. They're forcing this issue early by demanding some really stupid shit. Even some Dem senators like Gallego are doing the whole "yeah.. maybe this is a dumb idea" thing.

Yes, paying for another country's economy with your tax money is great, right?
Cutting Medicare, increasing the debt, inflation is going, prices are rising, but at least we know Argentina will have someone to bail them out.
It depends on
1. The amount
2. What we get for it

I am not saying we should give em a grant, but a loan(with certain conditions) is not to bad.
