Gonna say, for the 50th time in this thread, you all should read Starship Troopers. The movie is a ton of fun, but the book is a different beast entirely. So yourselves a favor and order it. It's an easy read, and Heinlein loves to explore political ideas and consequences. Some of the shit in the book is almost prophetic.
But Redditors who've never read the book tell me it's fascist propaganda.

You know what it was doing. Hollywood loves smut and pushing "forbidden love" stories.
I mean, it definitely didn’t try to portray it as love at least. More like an addiction based on childhood trauma that he ultimately defeats by killing REALLY bad pedophile and redeeming himself? I dunno, I should read the book someday.

because they at least pretend to allow other religions in their country, they at least pretend to have some secular law in their courts, and they at least pretend to be nice to us long enough for us to have a relationship that leads to a base in our borders

yeah, it sucks. yeah, it would be better if the country was glassed with a nuke. but sometimes you have to take what you can get
Qatar is blatantly in it for themselves with zero pretense of friendship. They also are trying to infiltrate America to push their agenda. It is what it is.

You don't need to read books to solve it, its easy to understand how to solve this conflict.

When someone Launches a missile you take the finger that pressed the button and you smash it with a hammer and you Keep fucking doing that until both sides learn that "Firing missile gets your finger broken"
The "Skeweton King says no more missile and he bweak your hands" school of conflict resolution.

We'll probably just authorize mining on American soil and bring back mining jobs/towns.

Also, what do you mean? Regained technology? The technology hasn't gone away, we just don't really have a reason to go back when there are other celestial objects that would be of better use to target. We already send back samples of materials autonomously, the difference is that technology is built and made for science and technology a completely different industry to mining. It's not that hard of a fork off when the foundational technology is well researched and previously established foundation.

Edit:
You mean to say, you don't want to see this off the coastline of California?

Man last touched the moon in 1972. The Saturn V was decommissioned in 1973. The first test flight of the SLS was 2022. We could not put a man on the moon for 50 years

I hate that it seems you are correct. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United States of America seem to be making allies for better or for worse. I don't know what the agenda is Qatar has, but at this moment it seems to want to tap into the American Consumer market. The biggest discretionary spending market on the planet. Saudi Arabia is already doing that with Entertainment to go alongside their oil assets.

I know I'm kind of late to the topic, but isn't it strange how all our elites get so mad whenever the side effects of child genital mutilation is brought up? They treat it as an attack every time whether it be to defend kids trooning out or kids (literally babies) getting their penis skinned, the elites must protect these practices at all cost. Why?

Why would anyone ever openly argue in favor of genital mutilations on babies, it literally doesn't make sense to me. Or even, why the fuck have babies been having their penises skinned off an mutilated for so many years anyway? I know people will say "da jews" of course but believe it or not, circumcisions aren't exclusive to jews, TONS of people were circumcized as a baby.

It's like they want the first experience people have entering this world be the feeling of having your fucking penis be skinned off. What fucking monsters fill this world, how did this ever catch on in the modern day and how did it spread outside of jewish tradition and become just tradition in general? Why would this ever be acceptable to society, can someone please fill me in on this?

I mean, there are books and documentaries that explain this whole thing. Basically once a practice becomes the norm people get very stubborn about changing it.

The Nobel Committee is five people, you say? Five......elders, as it were? Of course they would never give it to Donal D. Trump, and instead give it to inbred venezuelans.
Nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize had to be submitted by last January before Trump was inaugurated. All the stories we hear of other countries nominating Trump would be for next year's Peace Prize.

No that's not how it works. We've banished so many barbaric traditions in our past without issue today yet the one thing we can't get rid of is mutilating babies? Because it's just a habit for people? People wouldn't know how to start their days without having a baby to mutilate? I don't buy that at all, there is true evil involved at a large scale, that's the only thing close that I can think of to explain why so many people will not only look the other way about mutilating babies, but openly support it and want as many children to take part as possible. It's not habit, it's pure demonic evil.

My point is, we haven't gone back to the moon because there hasn't been a need to. We can send rovers and other probe-bots in place of humans.

The only reason the moon race took place was a cold war, space race was the motivation back then to land someone on the moon. We haven't gone back because there is little motivating us to want to. There are some interesting properties of lunar dust, but there are also laws governing how the moon is treated. Fucking with the moon could fundamentally alter the earth's climate far more than cows farting in Brazil.
