It's postmodernism. Words don't have plutonic definitions, a chair is whatever you say a chair is. Becuase of that, all human interaction is ultimately just power dynamics -- if I can force you to agree that log is a chair, it's a chair. Thus if I can trip you up, take away your power, or otherwise gain power over you, I win the "power struggle" and thus I'm right, even if reality is completely different, because reality is whatever we say it is.
For those of you who knew people in debate club who tried pulling stunts like throwing a party and "winning" the debate because they got the moderator to accept that they had redefined the debate as a party and thus they were throwing a better party and thus won, it's that sort of thing. Kind of similar to the theater kid thing or reddit atheist thing, someone just smart enough to be REALLY stupid. And yes, women are REALLY susceptible to this kind of weapons grade dunning kruger effect. And yes this is how social media and janny infested sites like imgur or reddit function.
Just another group of people who didn't get their asses kicked hard enough by their fathers and peers in school when they were young -- or victims of teachers that are of this mindset.
And yes Marxists fled to this in droves post 1970 because it became very obvious Marxism and it's descendants are all failed ideas created by midwits, but even if reality says their beliefs don't work if they FEEL it SHOULD and can get enough POWER then reality will just contort to their wishes because reality is a social construct.
And also yes this is where "deconstructions" come from, the whole "actually the hero is a dickhead and makes things work trying to save stuff" type crap, and is why all media sucks dick now. Because we banned bullying in schools, drove parents out of the home, and a lack of socializing has this sort of batshit crap as the symptoms.
Interesting, I've been messing around on my RTX 5090 pc with comfyUI. It's about 10 seconds to make an image here.
4070 Super with DMD2 Speed LoRA here in ComfyUI. ~6 seconds. 3-4 if I don't use a randomly selected style LORA (as it has to unload the previous one and load the new one on each generation). 12 if I push it through a Highres upscaler (which increases the size by 25% and smooths over some issues the image can have). This is all with illustrious models (something out of the Nova series, Wai, Bridge, etc etc) -- I hear there are newer ones like NetYume or zTurbo that are significantly better than the SDXL based ones everyone uses, I've tried NetYume and it's a bit slower but it basically has a built in LLM, so you can describe entire scenes or complex concepts and it'll handle them.
