anybody who doesn't realize we use israel to test weapons against live targets is a retard. that's the one big benefit the US has always gotten out of selling israel weapons systems beyond having an airstrip in the middle east that's friendly no matter the tensions.

iron beam is fucking awesome, and only just got deployed. we won't see fact sheets on its effectiveness in live environments against real enemies until next year afaik, but it SHOULD drastically reduce the operating cost of missile defense in the US and israel (meaning less of my tax money funding the iron dome, more of it going to building iron beams) and make a lot of dumb-rocket tactics a LOT less effective, which is as anyone who pays attention will know the primary weapons systems utilized by the desert-dwellers.
