further thinking on a war with venezuela, apparently (according to al jazeera:
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/11/28/venezuela-explained-in-10-maps-and-charts) the venezuelan population is roughly 85% in the northern section where there's heavy urban development. it would be insanely easy to deal with this country, they have absolutely no fucking chance in a military engagement with the united states.
even ignoring the silly idea of a B-2 being deployed, america is going to absolutely annihilate their decades-old (yes i know it's the 2013 variant, but it's still retrofitted from decades old originals or designs) anti-air, and we've seen that S-300s aren't even very capable in the situations they're okay at, during the ukraine war. 30+ year old tech at best. it doesn't help that these systems are what our boys train against routinely, so they know exactly how to outfly them in ideal conditions. we've seen how air superiority is established in real time in many different conflicts, and this will be no different.
even if they deploy everything they have with all the guns possible, i count a TOTAL of 139 aircraft in their airforce, and in their navy, the numbers are much worse; 1 submarine, 1 frigate, 25 patrol boats, 4 landing ship tanks, and 3 auxiliary ships is all they have in their navy. to put it in perspective, the US has roughly 5,000 active aircraft ready to be deployed, and 465 ships within the navy, including multiple types of ship that venezuela doesn't even have.
they have no backup from china or russia, and absolutely no shot at getting oil from the currently operating refineries DURING a war.
tl;dr my armchair analysis of this say venezuela is fucked six ways from sunday if we use tech from two wars ago, let alone what we have now, and without a boot ever touching the ground.
