I think people are way more terminally online than before most likely due to the COVID-19 lockdowns and because society as whole is not quite in a good place. I think it's also a case of people growing up way later in life than normal "30 is the new 20" is kinda becoming a mantra in certain circles. I think social media also feeds people's egos which is why you see a lot of "thots" or "onlyfans models" so much and why they act so narcissistic, but I also think some people are starting to pick up bullshit political philosophies that it's so joever and that there's no hope whatsoever like this newfound personal lolcow I found.

This is essentially an atheistic nihilist. He genuinely believes because he's ugly, most of those traits are self-inflicted by the way, that there's genuinely no hope and that he's forever an outcast of society. Which is true, if you don't take care of yourself and you look like an acne riddled fatass then yes, people will think you're disgusting. It's not made much better by shitty personalities people are acquiring making them even more bigger outcasts in society, but they get the nihilistic belief that no-no it really is just how it is.

TL;DR I think people are just online too much and it's really fucked everyone's sociability in the real world.
