It feels very generic, as well as the style looks weird and doesn't have the literal edge like most animation today. It doesn't help that the term unicorn is pozzed as shit, especially with the idea of reincarnation (ie, "I have a female soul in male body"). Hopefully Genndy will surprise us for the better.

I hope it goes well. Genndy is one of the few cartoon creators who haven't pissed me off in recent years.

I'm looking forward to it. Same french studio who did "Primal" and they know how to animate very well without looking like they killed a village of animators to make it. Or look cheap like the korean studios.

I am wondering how old the sorceress chick is if she's a teenager but was getting married. Unless it's some arranged thing, wedded at that young age is always a mistake. Copernicus may have done her a favor.

I think the idea is that she was reverted to how her previous incarnation looked like after the spell. She's also drawn in a Betty Boop style so who knows how old she is supposed to be

3 more days and the sneak peeks and promos are rolling out.

Here's two short promos in one tweet. Having trouble downloading them both at the same time.

Here's one longer promo showing newer footage of the current warriors using their powers.

And courtesy of [AS] in UK, 2 whole minutes of footage (and some random trippy animation promos at the end there).

The premiere is midnight tonight. Genndy posted concept art on his Instagram to celebrate. Interesting how often scotsmen appear in his creations.

back at it again, fuck troons and their goons
Now that 3 episodes are out, I can say I like it but the flaws are too big to blindly love it. I love the backgrounds and mystery surrounding the warriors. I hate that so much focus is on the sorceress girl's inner fight that the lack of fights is making it slow and boring. If there's no action in the next episode with the lady fox villain, I'll wait to watch a few episodes at once instead of one ep a week. Maybe I'm spoiled by SJ and Primal but it feels too damn slow.

Watched the current four episodes. I'm pleasantly surprised with the show, it is slow paced (maybe a bit too much so), has a lot of charm without cynicism, dares to do some non politically correct scenes and generally very likable with great animation that doesn't try to hard to ape the 60's.

Probably the biggest issue currently is that the heroine not accepting her destiny is starting to wear itself out, and it's kinda bullshit how the entire team is dependent on her powers.
