susie seems to me to be either a mini version of gaster, like how kris and noelle look to be two separated parts of one character, or she is literally his fucking daughter. but what fact stays solid is that susie to gaster is like porky to giygas, just like i spoke here in this thread before.

Also the Titan is straight up just a bootleg colossal titan from AoT, just rehashed with ugly angel wings and eyes all over it. The star-shaped "mask" on its face is a cool touch at least.

EDIT: And another thing, looking up this troon "SaraJS", I found that he made this thing for Game Maker on how to make melee attacks for platform action games....and the character/sprites suggest to me that this was indeed his work (or really, the basis) on the platforming sections for Chapter 5: https://sarajs.itch.io/saras-melee-example

Yeah. I've been writing down my thoughts as I've been going through the chapters past 1 on a first playthrough. It would be nice to have somewhere to put them instead of just writing for myself, since there are definitely some opinions that would get my head put on a stick in less desirable places. I won't lie, I'd been avoiding playing DR until now, since I was afraid like with when I played UT I wouldn't have anywhere sane to discuss the game. I'll be selfish and say it would piss me off if lost contact with the only (relatively) normal people to talk with about UT/DR.

why do people think that soul is the angel? aren't we the one with the BANISH act? it always seemed to me that gaster was set up to be the angel, along with noelle larping/angelmaxxing

I mean the angel is depicted in-universe as being associated with light and is generally considered to be a positive force, which is the complete polar opposite of Gaster's whole vibe. It's also only ever referred to as "it", whereas Gaster has always been referred to as a man.

Kinda skitzo, but there's also the little detail of the Angel's prophecy panel being "blank" but the characters still apparently seeing it. The black screen reflects your face.

Just realized that in addition to being a Touhou reference, the Red Ribbon symbolizes Kris's SOUL. Red, banishes things, and may not be one-of-a-kind like the flowers. Also, Susie immediately wants to do something uncharacteristic of her the moment she gets her hands on one.

To be mildly autistic about it, Hometown I think is actually based on Massachusetts (that's where Toby lives and grew up in IIRC), which has far stricter gun laws.
