Susie won't be able to rude buster her way out of being love bombed by a BPDoe, she's cooked
It's arguably the funniest relationship flop set up that could happen.
>Noelle likes Susie because she sees her as exotic, dangerous and violent.
>Susie likes Noelle because she sees her as kind, patient and friendly
>Noelle is secretly a BPD Lunatic who craves power and enjoys killing her friends for the liberating feeling it gives her, hating how she feels like she isn't in control of her own life.
>Susie is now not so secretly a total goofball who apparently just wanted friends and to have a life with meaning, happy to follow along with everything the prophecy has decided bar one thing.
The two couldn't be further apart in compatibility if they fucking tried.

Since everyone's talking about the Mother 1 OOB glitch in the weird route I think (I still haven't played Ch 5, lul), I suppose I'll drop my brief review for the remake on EarthBound's engine.

Overall it was good, very good artstyle and music-wise for a supposed "what-if" that Mother/EarthBound Beginnings would've gotten if it was remade for the SNES. That said, it's also carried the luggage of being equally hard as balls given the high enemy spawn rate when going through congested areas of the map as you progress through the game, but they said they'll tune and rebalance it (along with other bug fixes) once v1.2 releases; along side restoring the censored artwork for enemies so that it's not just a "what if Nintendo of America released this remake to players?". As seen below.

After that of course is when they'll be shifting their focus to making their own Player's Guide for it.

It's kind of funny that this releases right around the same time Toby steals takes inspiration from one of Mother 1's glitches as a way to further his own narrative for the weird route of the game, worked out quite nicely for everyone in the end.

Did you know that unlike most plants, which would die in a few days if left without sunlight, there are many varieties of cacti that can actually survive for months without any sunlight whatsoever?
I just thought that was an interesting little thing.
Unlikely Toby was thinking of this when he gave the Holidays and Dreemurrs cactuses, though.

They are not plants though.

You know, working off of the theory that Dark Worlds are associated with imagination, then I think we ought to look at Dark World forms of characters who have them.
Obviously Berdly, Noelle, Kris and Susie all get fairly radical makeovers in the dark world, but that's to be expected because as kids, they have pretty active imaginations.
The ones I think are more interesting are Undyne, Toriel and Asgore.
Undyne looks something like a knight, but that's to be expected, because she's got a pretty active imagination too (She probably still thinks Anime is real)
Toriel looks like a queen, whether this is subconscious or what, it's unclear, but she does have reason to look like a queen because of the Festival king and queen shit. (Massive ego Toriel, though)
But Asgore knows that the Dark Worlds are bullshit, and just wants to do his research into them. He shows up basically the exact same as normal, only with slightly darker hair, and he only ends up wearing the armor to humor flowery.

It must've been a deliberate choice to have Asgore show up nearly identical to his overworld self in Chapter 5, right?

By the way, how IS the Mad Mew Mew fight? Is it at least on theme for the the other secret bosses with their freedom shit? Admittedly I missed her boss fight on the first play through, but I REFUSE to entertain hunting down the fucking reddit anime troon catgirl bossfight.

It really doesn't have much to do with freedom at all. It more or less acts as a parallel to Kris and the Red Soul. The two Mew Mew's, the doll turned into a Darkner which is the actual physical body, and the Lightner, Mad Dummy, the Ghost who was possessing the anime doll before the Dark World opened. They are constantly fighting over who is in control of the body. The Darkner Mew Mew just wants to be a normal girl, go on dates, and have friends. Meanwhile the Mad Dummy ghost wants to be in total control of the body for his own selfish reasons. They learn to coexist at the end of the fight.

So basically. Mew Mew represents Kris. Mad Dummy represents the Soul.

That's about it. If you REALLY want to twist yourself in knots to find a freedom meaning in it, you start getting closer to transgender nonsense.

A contribution to the Dark World imagination theory is the flow of time. In Chapter 3, Tenna built over most of the snow covered land with his TV World, we had our entire adventure there, and when we leave the house to go chase the Knight, its still dark out.

When you're having fun, like say having an imaginary adventure, it feels like time moves faster. When you're doing something boring, like say doing real world shit, it feels like time moves slower

A contribution to Goner Susie I found while looking stuff up, when Susie comes over to Kris' house, she acts nervous around Toriel, since supposedly, Toriel tried to comfort her when she was young and acted very kind. Toriel on the other hand, seems to only know Susie as "Kris' friend" and only seems to know her name because Alphys talked about her.

Now, why would Susie remember having this very touching moment, but Toriel seemingly doesn't?
