is the implication that Kris did that when we weren't looking (I'm not sure when he could have done that), that the sprite Kris did that, or something else?
The implication was that either the hero_sword dragged Ramb off, or maybe Friend can shapeshift or create a copy or Kris to drag Ramb off. Why Kris? Cause Ramb wouldn't argue or throw a fit if Kris did it.

so im just going to go ahead and assume theres going to be another chapter by december?
Steam page says 2027 for chapter 6. The newsletter after the trailer stated that they're expected to start work on chapter 7 this year, so they'll prob finish chapter 6 by december, then April-June chapter 6 release due to translation and console ports.

why did they kill themselves?
If you're talking about the Weird Route, they didn't.
Noelle did a boundary break using the power of the Soul's ability to move herself and Kris during a cutscene out of bounds while also preventing the damage that would bring them both to 0/20hp and killing them and the two of them clipped out of reality.
Noelle in the ARGs is revealed to be really good at finding Boundary Breaks, especially in Dragon Blazers, which is one of the things in universe based off of the prophecy (Based off Lord of the Hammer, which is in turn based off of the prophecy.)

I'd prefer if we could avoid this sort of genderfaggotry altogether, though.
It would be ideal but realistically, Toby included a blue gay, and possibly black, flower in his game. He's not exactly adverse to these kind of things. It may even serve as the consolation prize; In exchange for destroying Suselle, Ralsei troons out.

I'm a bit skeptical of the whole "Ralsei is the forest thing", because in that case why is Ralsei coloured? We see that the flowers aren't coloured because they're technically lightners, so shouldn't the same apply to Ralsei? I think it's more like Ralsei is just some sort of concept, or perhaps even a manifestation of a part of the prophecy.
Or, perhaps with how Susie fucked with the prophecy, maybe he wasn't meant to exist at all, and came to be because of the fuckery? The prophecy could have originally been Kris (prince of the dark), Noelle (the girl), and the vessel (the cage) who fight "with" the knight and then the dragon. Susie might not have even been the inciting incident for the change, Kris' soul fuckery could have been.
So if thats the case, Ralsei is the Darkner of Kris' role. It explains why he resembles Asriel, because Kris had monsterdysphora or whatever the fuck you'd call it.

So they are lost in limbo, how is that different from being dead?

The flowers aren't coloured in dialogue sprites (when they have face portraits) because they're pretending to be humans which would require them to be Lightners. But even then, when Flowery opens his eyes, he has glowing gold eyes.
Hatless Ralsei is also majority black and white except for a single colouration of pink, btw.

We don't know what exists outside the boundaries of Hometown. It could be just about anything at this point. The Meat Factory, Gaster's Goon Cave, the Deepest Dark, Undertale, A glitchy monochrome version of Hometown, an alternate Hometown, the void.
We really have no idea what is going to be found past the lake.

But even then, when Flowery opens his eyes, he has glowing gold eyes.
True, but even so their sprites are still mostly white and black without any shading

Whereas Ralsei has actual shading. Even if theres not much colour, there is still more than the flowers.

I also don't buy that this is because they're pretending to be human, because we see they can't exactly pretend to be human very well. I don't think can alter their sprites, otherwise there would be no colour.

Anyway the Ralsei being mostly white and black thing is convincing that he is not entirely like other darkners, but I still don't buy the roots thing. He could be some special kind of plant that's had some pure darkness or gaster fuckery, but I think the "he's a manifestation of the prophecy" angle makes more sense

Ralsei is a shapeshifter. As soon as Deltarune ends he will fuck off back into the darkness and take the form of the suspiciously similar younger sibling of the next autistic teenage male who needs him

We won't know for sure until something concrete about what he is is confirmed. Really, we just keep getting confirmation for what he isn't.
We know he's not secretly being carried by Kris, we know that whatever he is can't really be carried around (Otherwise he could've been carried around to 'see' the festival.
And we know he's probably not Kris' old monster horn headband either, as that shouldn't have any sort of means to move from Dark World to Dark World.
Though I suppose it's possible that whatever Ralsei is, his actual object form is really in the Shelter, and the darkness in there is esoteric enough that he can appear in other Dark Worlds? (This would keep headband theory alive, if the Shelter is involved in the INCIDENT and Kris was there on that day and ended up dropping his monster horns?) (This lil' goat nigga is far too esoteric for my liking, though him being Kris' equivalent to what Flowery was with Asgore would be funny, also, if he was Kris' monster horns, and Dark Worlds are based originally on Kris and Noelle's imagination games, he'd know a lot about them, too. )

Also, you wanna know what really fucking feels like missed potential?
Toby Fox has had Laura Shigihara work on Deltarune songs before (she literally fucking sings Don't Forget), but he didn't get her to sing the vocal parts of Flower Man? Come the fuck on, Robert!

When it comes to videogames and morality, there's a real disconnect between the fantasy of "oh we should all be friends" and the grim reality that people will want to gut you not just for having a different skin color, but for having a different opinion of which sky daddy is superior (the best is Susanoo for getting offended and homicidal when another god shat out a five star meal).

There are some monsters that ought not be spared, some that appear appealing on the surface, but are genuinely cruel underneath.
Ironically the Genocide route in the original Undertale is this but you're the monster. Kind of the same with the weird route. Then again I prefer it when it's less the player making an obvious good or evil choice and more having them make genuinely difficult, morally complex choices.

"OOO YOU'RE A HORRIBLE PERSON FOR CHOOSING THE EVIL OPTION" is a 0 IQ take, though I'd rather "moral" choices in videogames be less black and white to begin with.
Dishonored has the classic "give a woman to a creepy weirdo instead of killing her" option.
Dunno why people keep saying Kris and Noelle killed themselves at the end of the Weird Route.
Way I interpreted it is Noelle has figured out the rules of game, and she wants to test the limits of the "Player picks an option."

Kinda like how when you tell Kris "Open the door."
He does so, but with his eyes closed.
He understands the rules and works around them to fuck with us.

Noelle understands the rules now, and wants to exploit them as much as she can.
That's why she says "tell me to grow wings and fly" because she's thinking if we're given the option "Make Noelle grow wings", she actually will.
She's thinking, as long as we say 'Proceed' she doesn't need to worry about drowning, because we're inputting the decision for them to proceed forward.

Well at least that's how I interpret it anyway.
It is because trannies can only think about throwing themselves into bodies of water and dying.
The cuckoldry undertones with that one was FAR too blatant its insane nobody is calling it out.

Something i have noticed is that toby seems to excel when it comes to being more "serious" or "dark" writing wise(see undertale genocide and 'runes weird route) i don't understand why toby is so fucking insistent on writing shitty tumblrina crap when he can focus on making serious characters. Weird route proves he's capable of this. He'll its where deltarunes plot shines the most.
Deltarune is divided into a venn diagram fans who primarily like the weird story telling and theory crafting and people who like shitty humor and trannies.
He also called Frisk a he at one point, too.

I am shocked Toby did not know who Zonk Punch is.

No, she's dead and cannot make any more chapters.

I think that's a fair point, we don't really have enough info and anything rn is mostly conjecture. However, I think the prophecy darkner type thing is the most appealing, do you see any issues with it?

I don't really think he's something so... esoteric and conceptual like that? Also, if he were the prophecy made manifest, he wouldn't have tried as hard as he did to avoid using his fire magic.
Also, the prophecy clearly wouldn't care so much about Kris personally.

I think it would add to his complex though. It's one thing to be an object where you still interact with the lightners, even if you're not sapient. It's another thing entirely to be a literal personified concept that cannot meaningfully interact with anything outside of the dark worlds. It also explains why he not only can't be "brought along" for the festival, but simply can't experience it at all. If he was the entire forest/whatever, then surely he'd be "present" in some sort of way because he could observe whats happening, but if he's a literal concept then theres nothing that can be done to make him present.
Also, the prophecy clearly wouldn't care so much about Kris personally.
I mean I think it evidently has to just from how the prophecy works. Every character seems to be very important

Does translation and console porting really take that long? I suppose they would be working on chapter 7 during it too but still, 6 months for translation + porting seems like a lot
Chapter 5 was done late 2025 and was entering the console port and translation phase from the newsletter and it didn't come out till 2 weeks ago

How the fuck does it even take Toby's trannies this long to port a game as small as Deltarune?
Like, there's not that many lines of dialogue per chapter, really.
How much does testing for Consoles rape the game's release cycle?
